There was a period when some phones and tablets included an IR transmitter. If you have one of these, then look for an IR blaster (TV remote) app on the appropriate store.
It depends on the remote. If the remote app has the codes for your Sylvania tv, then you can use the remote. Check the list of codes that comes with the remote app and if it includes Sylvania codes, then there is a high possibility that the app will work with the tv.
GE universal remote control have no set-up code to Sylvania brand TVs. in this television .if you see the digital television .its the inverter board. try a probe pull off the small cable of inverter board .and try to turn on the tv .if the light stay green the inverter is out. thanks
Bob Newell. I know it's been a couple years since you posted this, but I have one of these TV's now, and am looking for that firmware upgrade. But I can't seem to find it at the Sylvania website. Is it still there, and if so, can you point me to the right location?
