ATF7000ESO won't start or do anything except display ERR, PAU and then 56 when any button is pressed. Washer remains in the Normal setting even when the control knob is turned. Already tried: pressing START/PAUSE & CANCEL simultaneously for more than 15 seconds, as well as OPTION & SELECT; leaving the washer unplugged for hours at a time before retrying various control combinations; and opening/ closing the door a number of times. I still get the same results and no error code is ever displayed, no matter what I have tried.
I fixed this myself and it only took about 5 minutes. The problem is the door latch needs to be reset, which requires unplugging it's three electrical connections. This has to be done inside the washer outer seal, but it is easy to get to. First remove the outer ring that holds the seal on. Next remove only the side of the seal closest to the door latch (again only the outer seal needs to be undone). With this done remove the two screws holding the door latch in place (inside). Remove the latch, unplug the three connectors, plug them back in then reassemble everything. When all is back in place hit "cancel" and it should be good to go.
Where is the nearest part store
for the frigidaire front load washer
A technician came and verified the circuit board was fried. It had to be ordered and will be replaced when its received.
E56 means high motor current.
And it says for the technician to refer to test 9.

I have the same problem except I do not get 56 I get 50.
Believe the number 56 displayed corresponds to the minutes the washer will take to do the load.
