Good Morning. I was given this alarm clock which is driving me crazy cause i cant figure out what to do. I tried researching the internet for a manual, but failed. It is a RCA CD Clock dual wake Radio. Model # rp4801a. Please help.

  • Anonymous May 19, 2009

I just dont know how to set the alarms and what exactly wake 1 and wake 2 means; and the difference between that and alarm. Also there are several shapes like a bell, a box, and a spot and i have no idea what each does.

Following are the instructions for the RP5610 which looks very similar to the 4801A (that I also have). The only difference in the instructions is that the 4801A doesn't have a clock icon, just press the SET button until the center colon dots are flashing, Press the rewind or fast forward arrows on the circle next to it to set the time. Set the alarms by pressing the set button until bell 1 or 2 is displayed. Nap is also set with the set button - not sure how to stop it yet.

To set the clock:

  1. Press the SET button until the clock icon is displayed (circle with hands at 10 and 2)
  2. Press |<< REV or >>| FWD to set the time.
  3. AM or PM icon will show besides the time.

I have the same problem, I can't cancel out the alarms. blink, blink and more blinking, then when I finally get them off the screen... the stupid nap icon you can't cancel off the screen..
Tried setting the time by pressing time then fwd,I can change the time but can't get off the pm icon.. this clock is very confusing, whoever design it sure didn't design it for the consumer....
even with an instruction manual, you can't get it to work right..
It's a very nice clock, but I would like to be the one in control of what time it should be set at, not that the clock is going to be in control....
I just want the correct time on this clock... as I don't need to be using the alarms... Please HELP.....

Set time on RCA dual clock radio with fashion wrap? RCR 8622

I love the form of your question, as I wanted to wing the sucker myself, but got online before I actually pulled an Office Space on it. I found nothing, but I DID actually figure it out. Not super intuitive though. To set the time: Hold down the memory key in the middle until the number flashes. Use the arrow up/down on the right to set hour. Press Memory key again, repeat with arrow keys to set minutes. Hit memory key again. Alarm: Press/hold the Alarm button until the Alarm 1 or 2 flashes and press the side you want, 1 or 2, to set. Arrow time up/down, then do minutes, press alarm 1 again, select alarm or tuner, press alarm 1 again. Now I need to see if it will work in the morning. I know the flipping time is set though! Good luck. If you wing it, please post photos! :D

1996 jeep larado driving me crazy

Cars are like that. I think they like driving people crazy. I\'ve been driven crazy by my Sentra for three months now.
Has the fuel pressure been checked? I wonder if your fuel pressure regulator has failed (the diaphragm inside will rupture and suck extra gas in through the vacuum hose attached to the regulator-could be the cause of backfiring). Something to check, anyway.

I cant find an online manual for an audiovox CD alarm clock radio model 1167, and cant figure out how to set the alarm. a link to the actual manual would be great

With the power off, push the alarm 1 button, then push the clock set button. Use the skip & preset buttons to set the hour. Push the clock set button again to change to the minute. Again use the skip & preset buttons to set the minute. Push the clock set button again to set. You will see an alarm clock in the upper left of the screen to show the alarm in now set. To cancel push the alarm button and then the stop/alarm off button.

Can't turn off radio

See if there is a snooze button. Try that.
Aternatively, there should be switch on the right hand side, switching it from Auto to OFF, then back to Auto should turn off the morning alarm.
Failing that, check to see if the switch on the right hand side is set to ON.

NAP

JUST HOLD THE NAP BUTTON UNTIL IT NO LONGER IS BLINKING NAP, dont return it, its very good at waking you up in the morning, and is basically a good alarm clock, it just has a different way of turning nap off.
