Look for any loose contacts in power outlet. If that is ok, the TV might need servicing.

If your Tv is in warranty or you have a cover plan, you need to return the Tv for repair or replacement.Your Tv sounds like it has a power supply fault.

SOURCE: 3 YEAR OLD SANYO DP 32746. SHUT ITSELF OFF, CAN NOT TURN BACK ON

If you leave the tv unplugged for 2 days (atleast) then plug it back in and try to turn it on and if it comes on its the power supply board. If it comes back on it will probably shut off between 30min to 4hrs and you would have to unplug it for 2 days again. All the power needs to drain out of the tv. If thats the case take the back pannel off and check the part number out on the internet. Not hard to do becarefull touching things the power supply does store a little bit or shock in it. Good Luck.

Testimonial: "while we did not unplug the set, we let it sit for 2 days and we were able to turn it on by the remote & manually....does that still sound like P/S"

My 50' sanyo hdtv keeps turning off by itself. We recently had comcast installed and after the installation is when the problem began. We bought it in 2008, and it has been hanging on the wall ever...

I would check your TV's firmware version against the newest one available from Sanyo. Usually you can go into your TV's menu and find the firmware information there.

Tv keeps turning on and off

You probably have blown capacitors on the PSB-power supply board. Recaping with new UF caps works 90% of the time. The set turns itself of into a fault protection to keep from damaging more components internally. A few bucks a soldering iron some solder should do the trick.
