If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service. Also look for any jammed buttons on remote.

Tv sound will not stay on goes down by itself

The problem is with the ckt that controls the manual keys on the TV.Disconnect it and the rest should work with your remote.

Tv pulsing (heartbeat) sound with screen flashing

My first suspicion would be a power supply problem. A slow oscillation like that can happen when the supply senses too much current is being drawn and begins to drop its output, but then the decreased output causes less current demand, and the supply output is restored. The cycle repeats itself until sooner or later, something has to give, and the system fails.

Unfortunately discerning whether the power supply itself is the problem, or a circuit within the TV is loading down the supply too much is not going to be easy to pin down. These days it has become harder and harder to get schematics or shop manuals from manufacturers, so that even with good test equipment you'll have a challenge. If it is (a) clear that the power supply can be both identified and easily separated from the rest of the device, AND... (b) you can find a source for a REFUNDABLE replacement power supply, it might be worth a shot replacing the supply to see if the problem remains or goes away. If a supply change won't cure it, you will need some electronic test equipment, some service literature, and a bit of luck and patience to go further. Good luck!

I turn on the TV and seconds later it turns off on it's own.

Sounds stupid, but where is the remote control? I had a weird issue a few years ago where my TV would turn itself off constantly. Turned out the remote control 'off' button was wedged down.

Try covering the IR receiver with your hand and turning the TV on (make sure the IR window is well covered and no Infra-red could leak in!). If it is ok then something i transmitting an 'OFF' signal. If TV still turns off on its won then sounds like it could be quite ill, possibly dying.

Hello, I have an RCA Truflat tv that I bought

If you can hear sound and the sound coems from your TV, try changing the volume with teh TV remote control. Your TV isn't off it is still on. Just the video board or portion is cutting out. this could be a ton of things, I would try changing out the power strip or plugging the tv into the wall directly to make sure it has enough power. other then that you can try a home brew solution like putting a fan next to your tv to cool the component that seems to be overheating and shutting down your picture.

Incline goes up and down constantly. Console doesn't work

It sounds like it's in calibration mode and you need to let it go all the way up and then down and set itself. If you have done that and it keeps going into that mode then you probably pulled or moved some wiring while moving it.

Picture goes black

GO TO MENU, THEN SETUP, SCROLL DOWN TO TIMER AND MAKE SURE IT IS ON 0 (ZERO) MIN. SOUNDS LIKE ITS PROGRAMMED TO GO SLEEPAFTER A CERTAIN TIME. THIS TV ALSO CUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY IN 15 MIN. IF ITS TUNED TO A VACANT CHANNEL( NO PICTURE).

Volume keeps going down by itself. I'll use the remote to turn it back up and it goes back down to zero again.

It's rare but happens. Sometimes the volume button (or rather the plastic piece that activates the button when pressed) can get stuck. That or there has been a cleaning chemical leak down onto the button on the board itself and corroded it, causing a constant short.

As for the second Q, I feel that your TV may have received a shock through the audio line and the audio amplifier may have taken the hit. These problem can lead into multiple bad compontnts, such as a bad SMD IC on the bottom of the board.
