Broke cover I have a Model # SCV551 Black in color that we like to use very much. The top fell off the counter and hit on the tile floor and broke. We would like to find and buy new cover.

I believe the design of the handle on the SCE502 is poor and will fail over time. The nut in ours fell out of the handle, and we were holding the black plastic handle while the glass lid was falling to the floor. Ours failed this weekend, and luckily, when the lid fell, it did not break. After looking over the lid and the black handle, I purchased a 1/4-28 screw and a 1/4-28 nut (original was corroded). I drilled a hole completely through the handle and now the black handle is securely attached to the glass lid with a stainless steel screw and nut..
