Spin is slow and noisy drum bearing

I've replaced the worn brushes, and taken the drain hose out and washed through. Removed the large flexible gator housing (with ball valve inside), and washed through, but still have problems with the spin speed which seems to be a long way short of the 1200 rpm it used to do. As a consequence the clothes are coming out sodden. Any ideas please?

SOURCE: bosch exxcel wf02465 wont spin

We had similar problem, with the spin cycle not working. We opened the 'drain' pipe (front-right bottom side). It was full of lime scale; never been opened for years. We cleaned it up and the spin cycle is now working.

SOURCE: Bosch WFF1800 - not spinning

HI,

move the kicking plate on the front-bottom of the machine. You will see o circular lid there, turn it on anti-clockvise to open. All of the water blocked will come from there, be careful. Look carefully that there are some objects blocking the water draining. Then turn on the machine on draining programme, the plastic rotor should turn fastly when the machine is on. If it is not running, change the pump motor. If it is running, but machine is not draining again you can understand that there is an objeck stuck on the hose between drum and pump motor. Lay down the machine on its rear facade, you will see a large and black hose between drum and pump motor. When you remove it, you will see that there is something that blocks water running.

thank you for using fixya, rate my answer,

SOURCE: my Bosch classic 1200 express washing machine wont drain or spin

Possibly a blocked filter or pump.
Ths filter should be at the bottom right front of washer, sometimes behind a removeable cover at the bottom of washer.
To clean it, unscrew anti-clockwise, remove and clean.

SOURCE: washer drum doesn't spin, no draining of liquid

If you have got rid of all the water, and it still will not spin, then the odds are it is the brushes in the motor that need replacing.
Quite a common problem

Testimonial: "I will tell repairman from Sears ( coming Friday ). i'll ask him to check brushes before he pulls motor. "

Check the filter, which is located at the bottom front right of washer behind a flap or drop down cover.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Maytag insignia- noisy spin and doesn't pump water out

If your Maytag washing machine is making a loud noise during the spin cycle and is not draining the water, there are a few possible causes. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the drain hose: Make sure the drain hose is not clogged or kinked. If the hose is clogged or kinked, water may not be able to drain properly.
  2. Check the pump: The pump is responsible for draining the water from the washing machine. If the pump is not working properly, it may be making a loud noise and not draining the water. You can check the pump by removing the front panel of the washing machine and locating the pump. Check for any visible damage or obstructions.
  3. Check the belt: The belt is responsible for turning the pump. If the belt is worn or broken, the pump may not be able to drain the water properly. You can check the belt by removing the back panel of the washing machine and inspecting the belt.
  4. Check the bearings: The bearings are located in the drum of the washing machine and can wear out over time, causing a loud noise during the spin cycle. If the bearings are worn out, they will need to be replaced.

Samsung WF7700N6W1 washing machine not draining

Could be a sock or something between the 2 drums that moves over the outlet hole from the drum when upright and trying to drain but moves away when machine is on its side. Get a flashlight and look through the holes in the inner drum and you may find the culprit.
A coin may also be stuck in by the pump blade, not always easy to see but worth a look.

Machine makes awful noise during any movement, spins very slowly, not enough to spin out. Making an awful noise, like stripped gears and won't drain

There are three reasons for such awful noise during spinning. Either the drum or the bearing turning the drum. Check for drum bearing failure if your washing machine is noisy on the spin cycle. Drum bearing failure is common when the bearing seals start allowing water to enter. You can take the belt off and spin the drum by hand, and if the drum rumbles, replace the bearings.

Hotpoint WF220P has become very noisy during spin, especially at high revs. Can it be worn brushes or motor, or bearings? Otherwise all is OK.

Remove drive belt, and spin drum by hand, if it feels rough or noisy, then the main drum bearings are worn.
If no noise from drum, could be a motor prob.

Drain light is flashing

Hi,

Check the motor for worn brushes and or noisy bearings while it is removed for service. Any auto mechanic should have experience replacing brushes and bearings. Much cheaper than ordering a new motor. New brushes and bearings should cost around $30.

Thanks

Washing machine really noisy on spin!

Probably main drum bearings worn
If you turn the drum by hand and it feels rough or noisy ,then definately bearings worn and noisy.

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA54 very noisy during spin

Hi, if your H/P is noisy on the spin cycle, just open the door and turn the drum a few times. If you feel some play, or kind of loud huming noise, then it is the bearings, very, very common on H/P WMA's.

Drum will not rotate

im confused as to why you think no drum rotation would be caused by bearings. typically worn bearings would cause noisy spin. only if bearings were completely seized would that cause no drum rotation. can you rotate drum by hand? if so bearings are not seized. can you hear motor rotate when you select spin? if not, then likely cause is motor brushes. do these simple tests and get back to me if you want. and bearings are quite difficult to replace on this machine
