The 18 code does not exist. To read the code press device/input button and menu button at the same time on the tv. count the LED flashes 1st digit short pause 2nd digit long pause, repeats.

The red status lamp indicates there is no communication between the format board and the DMD board (light engine). The most common problem for this is capacitors on the Format board that require hours of labor and possibly sending the entire electronics package to Mitsubishi if the caps don't do the trick. Expect a very large bill, contact you local Mitsubishi Authorized repair facility about this, DO NOT take a chance on your corner repair shop to know how to accomplish this.

Blinking green status light

Unplug for a few minutes then plug back in to try to reset it. Sometimes it could take as long as overnight before pluging back in to reset. Number of blinks is usually a trouble code.

STATUS LIGHT SOLID RED ON 73 DLP MITSU MODEL WD73735

The colorwheel is your problem. To confirm this, unplug the tv, then listen thru the air vents in the back as you plug the tv in. You will probably hear a ticking sound. If you do, that is the colrwheel. If the colrwheel is working, youwill be able to hear it "spin up". It will be a sudden high pitch whine. Let me know if I can be of further assistance

Continuosly blinking green light and tv won't turn on.

Either bad capacitors -vented - on power supply board or bad E2P eprom board on DM board.Probably the capacitors-4-1000Ufd and 2-3300ufd.You should get expert help from reputable tv shop. Not really do it yourself fix either way.

TV SET ON STAND BY?

This is to do with the capacitors inside the TV numbers 2662, 2663 and 2664 - If you unscrew the back panel of the tv you will see the capacitors towards the top of the tv, from memory around the middle.

Replace the capacitors (make sure you get the polarity the right way round) and you should find all is ok.
