MY ICE MAKER WON'T WORK

Kenmore Elite model 596. My water dispenser is leaking. Floor is very wet. When I push dispenser button the outlet gurgles a while then water flows. My refrigerator is a Kenmore Elite model 596.

Freezer is working, fridge is not cooling, currently at about 58*. Ice maker is not hooked up, but appeared turned on.

is it getting water?
if not check inlet valve

Icemaker not working on a Kenmore Bottom Freezer

if the volve behind the fridg for the ice get 120v for short time when the ice maker ask for water then the volve is bad but if there is no 120v to the volve then the command not coming from the ice unit and it need to be change , the wholl ice maker unit :(

check at the back of refrigerator were water line comes in see if there have eany hole or check your freezer may be it (ajar)

Kenmore freezer on the bottom. Ice-maker switch is turned on but no ice is being made?

Check your incoming water line for kinks. Make sure the water valve is turned on.
Replace the water filter.
Check inside the freezer and make sure the ice maker power cord is plugged in.

I turned up the temperature in the freezer and the refrigerator. The next day the water was flowing.

This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.
Please see the image below from the service manual that explains the ER IF error code.

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.

You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.

You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.

The fan or the control is bad.
