After 3 1/2 years our Amana refrigerator died -- repairman found low refrigerant, recharged with added dye (to help locate leaks). Lasted 5 months, and refrigerant leaked out again. Repairman cannot find a leak anywhere on the visible components of the system, so says it must be leaking somewhere on the line where it is permanently encased in the sealed cabinet, and thus cannot be repaired. Has anyone else seen this happen to this model, because if so, I may try to organize a class action lawsuit for Amana selling a product with a latent defect. This unit is getting horrible reviews on a popular online sales company (named after a large tropical river).
