Recently replaced the HV control board. It would not accept programming until I reseated connections to the LV panel under the front display. Fridge started responding and working normally. It made one batch of ice but when that batch was used up, no more. Have checked ice-maker several times to make sure it's on, everything properly seated, and ice-fill arm moving up and down freely. It would seem water supply is fine because cold water dispenses normally. Any ideas?

theharrisont, You state that...." ice maker stopped working after it flooded our kitchen floor." The water works because the water fountain dispenser uses a separate part of the Water Valve. The ice maker portion of the water valve is defected and the entire Water Valve Assembly will have to be replaced. Your problem is the dual Water Valve Assembly which is located on the rear bottom area of the refrigerator (follow the water inlet line from the wall to the refrigerator...the water inlet line connects to the Water Valve Assembly). The significant info which you provided was that the ice maker flooded the kitchen which indicates the Water Valve Assembly is defected. Failure to replace the Water Valve Assembly will result in the same problem of flooding at some later date. Replacing the dual Water Valve Assembly is just one step of several steps necessary to correct the problem. You will also have to temporarily remove the ice maker from the freezer (usually a couple of screws hold it to the wall and a quick disconnect electrical plug) and put it in the sink and run warm water over to remove any ice. Before you reinstall the ice maker you must check the Water Fill Tube that dumps the water into the ice maker. Because you said that the ice maker flooded the kitchen, then the Water Fill Tube is probably filled solid with ice which must be removed. A hair dryer is a quick way to achieve this. Blow hot air directly into the end of the Water Fill Tube which dumps the water into the ice maker. Note: Use a long screw driver to insert into the Water Fill Tube to break loose any ice and continue to use the hair dryer to help to remove any ice.
This should correct your problem

there are two water inlet valves on the back of refrigerator, one for icemaker the other for water in door. the valve for the water inlet is plugged or the soelinoid coil is bad. replace faulty valve, usually about 20 to 30 greenbacks at the appliance parts store

I had similar problem in that the fan in the freezer that blows freezing air into freezer and over to fridge was not working. Fridge was running warm (over 40 deg and freezer up near 20) Service call around $160 with new fan.
I need you to double check the model number. Maytag has a service library at this link. http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/html/index.html
By placing the first 3 letters in the search feature it will take you to models like yours. Chose the correct model that you have and enter the number in the search. I believe that the water control valve on back of your refrigerator is the problem. Maytag is very good about helping their customers. Let me know if you have problems gettting the information you need, Thanks, Sea Breeze
