Goodman ac/heater drain pan leaking since instillation 3 years

If you have an ac the drain hose for the evaporator is clogged and water overflows pan and drips unto floor. Clear the hose and the water leaking will be gone.

Twice in 2 months, new installation. What do those 2 occurrences have in common? Would be nice to know.
Pour some water into the pan. If it drains then I suspect no trap on the drain line. If the air handler never turns off the partial pressure without a trap prevents outward water flow.

There is no pat answer for that. There are many different sizes and the space requirements are usually included with the installation instructions, The seller should be able to provide the specifications to you so that you can compare different units.before you buy.

put a level across the top of air handler you may find its leaning away from the drain. your pan primary outlet may have rust or slime blockage permitting some condensation to make it out to your pump but not enough to keep up with whats being generated by the evap coil. the pan may have rotted out if it has a metal one. some plastic pans crack from stress. if the coil has been removed and reinstalled the guide clips on the pan may me misalifned so your pan may not drain before it overflows. wetness there means you probably have moisture or waterbuild up in the ductboard liner for the return. i have removed 20 gallons of water from inside the box before with no indication it was wet until the airhandler was removed and i could see inside it. assess your drain outlets and pan issues by removing the front panels with a 5/16 nut druver. hope this helps.

Hello, it sounds like your condensate line is clogged and not be able to drain into the condensate pump or your condensate pan is cracked and leaking. Best thing to do is clean the condensate line with a shop vac and see if the water will start to drain, if not looks like the pan is cracked.

clogged drain causing the water that cant reach the drain pan underneath to leak on the floor. Unplug fridge and open doors for 24 to melt ice likely clogging up drain. If that doesnt fix, you'll need to call refrigerator repair service

the clear plastic hose is the condensate drain .. indeed they clog frequently .. lthat will allow water to overflow the pan that is desined to capture condensed water from the evaporator.. the plastic hose and the pipe it is attached to need to be cleaned out periodically ... allowing water to overflow can damage other things so its important to get the drain cleared .. however that drain has little to do with cooling efficiency .. your lack of cooling performance could be another problem ... sometimes the evaporator coil gets clogged (large finned unit behind where the overflow hose is attached inside furnace) .. that has to be cleaned once in a while but is tricky to do ... how often depends on how good the furnace air filter is and how often its changed ... as the evaporator becomes clogged with dust the cooling efficiency goes down .. same with the outdoor unit ... you have to wash out leaves and such periodically from the condenser coils .... if every thing is clean but the cooling efficiency is still low then have the unit checked for refrigerrant pressure .. it could be low .. of course make sure the furnace filter is not clogged ... also for cooling make sure all of the registers are open ... closing some can reduce overall efficiency ... make sure the outdoor unit fan is working properly ..

One of the drain tubes (overflow) is plugged. Unhook each one and clear them of any debris.

The overflow tray should be on the indoor air handler, just below the connection of the white PVC drain line. It will require a 5/16 or so nut driver to remove the panel to get to the pan. It may be clogged in the pan where the drain connects or any part of the drain that is attached to it. Do you have any compressed air?

I assume since you called it a furnace, you have hot air heat and central air conditioning. If so, the only way a furnace/AC unit can generate water is by condensing moisture from the air. This is common to all air conditioning and removes humidity from your home. If so, this water, called condensate, must drain. The condensate is collected at the AC cooling coil that is typically located on top of a vertical upflow furnace or downstream of a horizontal furnace. If the drain is clogged, it will overflow and create a mess in and around the furnace. If this is your problem, cleaning and clearing debris may solve the issue. I suggest starting with the easiest accessable part of the drain path. You may need to open the panels enclosing the AC coil and clean the small pans at the bottom of the coil and clear openings from above that look similar to a laundry tub drain. If you get that far and find rust holes in the pan, repairs are needed. If you have an electric condensate pump that may also be the cuprit and require cleaning. Check and clear all drain lines from the coil connection to the final dicharge - sump pit or outside.
