We fix the problem with the UL code by regreasing the white balls and worked for 4 loads and now it won't start at the beginning of the load, just hums.

I tried to clean the machine after it was working so well and now it won't start adding the water in. I have unplugged it and then tried again it just hums. I am so frustrated, my husband has been laid off for sometime now and we don't have money for a repair person.

Hi Penny Zavala, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? What is the exact model of that machine and where did you get the info on greasing some of its parts?

you can take the pump apart by removing the 3 screws that hold it together. take it apart to make sure there nothing in it that could be blocking the impellar. if theres nothing in there, replace the pump

SOURCE: F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Had this problem on our Kenmore machine.

This is what done.

1. Unplug the washer

2. Take of the toe panel in the front by removing the three screws.

3. Get a bunch of towels (I mean a bunch!!!)

4. The pump is in the center, and it has a plastic grip handle that one can unscrew to remove the filter. As you unscrew it, LOTS of water will come out. Be ready with the towels. A cookie sheet helps to collect the water too.

5. Clean the filter assembly.

6. If one wishes to check the inlet of the pump, remove the back panel, about 12 screws. (Note, the following works for replace the pump as well)

7. Remove the large bellow from the bottom of the tub that goets to inlet of the pump by removing the clamp

9. Lift up on the plastic cover that covers the wires that power the pump. There may be a small plastic catch that is lifted up as to allow the connector to become free.

8. Remove the Torx screw that holds that is the center just under the filter screen.

9. Pull the pump forward.

10. Unclamp the pump outlet hose.

11. Remove pump

12. Unclamp the large bellow on the pumps inlet and inspect for debris.

13. Clean pump and fitler w/o getting water on the pump.

14. Install in reverse order. Remember, it is much easire to put the inlet bellow and outlet hose on the pump before you put into the washer

SOURCE: ul code up and before that just cut off during load

The ul code is unbalanced load. Try adjusting the load. If it happens again try removing some of the clothes.

SOURCE: F35 & SuD error codes on Kenmore Elite Washer

F35 has to do with the pressure switch which is located under the top panel on the back right. It will have a little black hose hooked to it. This happens when SUDS or detergent somehow gets up into it and usually locks unit out. Only solution is to replace pressure switch. You can find the tech sheet behind the bottom front panel usually tape to the back side of that panel or taped to the bottom right side inside unit. Hope this helps

take the lid off attached to the inlet valve to the dispenserr you will see a little white mechanisim in line with them. this is called your flowmeter take it off and blow through it is should sound like a cazoo. put it back on and try to do a wash cycle. if this doesn't help you need a new flowmeter. also if you take the kick panel off you will find the tech sheet to help you diagnose this problem.

Maytag top loading washer with UL code

Leveling: Ensure the washer is properly leveled. An unbalanced load can trigger the UL (unbalanced load) code. Use a level to check if the machine is sitting evenly on the floor.

Load Distribution: Make sure the clothes are evenly distributed in the drum. An imbalanced load can cause the UL code to appear.

Calibration: Some models have a calibration mode that can be accessed through the control panel. Running a calibration cycle might help the washer to detect load balance more accurately.

Electronics: There could be an issue with the control board or wiring harness. Inspect these components for any visible damage or loose connections.

Professional Service: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be time to consult with a professional appliance repair technician who can diagnose and fix the problem more accurately. They may have specialized tools and knowledge to pinpoint the exact cause of the UL code.

WHAT IS ERROR CODE UL

Unbalanced Load

If uL (unbalanced load) appears in display, the load is out of balance. The washer is running a load-balance correction routine. Allow the washer to continue. If the dial is flashing and the washer has stopped, redistribute the load, close the lid, and press START/PAUSE.Dec. 14, 2019

No matter what I do my cabrio washer get ul code. I have cleaned and regreased all pivit points as recomended

uL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to re-balance the load.
Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load.
If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, ul will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute
the load. Not sure why you would lube anything for this fault code. What may be the problem is the struts that steady the washer drum, they are in effect shock absorbers, they are likely the source of the code.

The Washing Machine Is washing but not spinning and The electrical panel on the front of the machine is saying UL .

UL is a code for the load being unbalanced. If the load is evenly distributed, open the top of the machine (press in with a flat putty knife about 3" in on the front on each side while lifting up as there are 2- 1" wide catches). Once both sides are unlatched, raise the lid then slightly lift the rear of the lid so that it fits into the curved part at the top of the hinges then open all the way - tape the lid to the top so it doesn't spring up. Look for rust around the suspension points at the top of the cabinet. The rust, if present, has likely fallen into and gotten underneath one or more of the 4 white plastic suspension "ball joints" which have probably totally dried out by now from their factory grease because of the water, bleach, and rust particles. Having someone help you, simply lift up on one of the 4 corner suspension rods - gravity and weight is all that holds them down. The white ball will lift out of the socket and still be attached to the rod. Clean out the rust, lightly sand the "socket" with emery cloth, then slop in a fingerful of grease. Automotive wheel bearing grease with graphite in it works well, but any will work. Also scrub off all embedded rust on the white plastic ball. Lower that corner back into the newly cleaned and greased socket and repeat for the other 3 corners. Now when you move the tub around notice how the balls pivot in their sockets like they are supposed to. When they were dry and rusty they wouldn't move enough to allow the tub to twist like it should so it slammed around and became off balanced. This should take care of the unbalance code.

Thanks for using FixYa. ULis displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load.
• Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load.

UL Code

Solved the unbalanced problem - open the top of the machine (press in with a flat putty knife about 3" in on the front on each side while lifting up as there are 2- 1" wide catches). Once both sides are unlatched, raise the lid then slightly lift the rear of the lid so that it fits into the curved part at the top of the hinges then open all the way - tape the lid to the top so it doesn't flap about and scotch the lid to keep it from falling back down on you. Now, look around - see all that rust?  The rust has fallen into and gotten underneath one or more of the 4 white plastic suspension "ball joints" which have probably totally dried out by now from their factory grease because of the water, bleach, and rust particles. I used automotive wheel bearing grease with graphite in it. Also scrub off all embedded rust on the white plastic ball. Lower that corner back into the newly cleaned and greased socket and repeat for the other 3 corners. Now when you move the tub around notice how the balls pivot in their sockets like they are supposed to. When they were dry and rusty they wouldn't move enough to allow the tub to twist like it should so it slammed around.  Now, shake your head in disgust that after only 2 years there is so much rust that you wonder if it will make it another year before falling apart, close the lid, and try another load.  That totally solved my off-balance problem where even a single handkerchief would give the UL error. It is still a finicky machine, but at least once again works like it did when new.
