Did the smoking stop when you disengaged the blades? If so it is most likely your belt that is smoking. Make sure all the blades turn freely by hand to ensure you have not hit anything that may have bent a shaft on one of the blades. If one of the shafts is bent and wont turn FREELY, the belt driving the blades would slip and start smoking as it tried to turn them.
First, you need to check to make sure you have the belt on correctly. There needs to be a tensioner holding the belt in proper tension. I have had a few deck issues where a bearing is worn out and it could be smoking when the grease gets hot. See if you can get a diagram for the belt position and check your bearings and idlers. Also make sure it is cleaned out so that you don't have a lot of grass in there that could be burning and smoking.Good luck.
Depends on where the black smoke is coming from. If it's coming from the deck then it's a belt issue, if it's coming from the engine then you have a carburetor issue. Most likely the governor isn't set up correctly or the choke isn't all the way off.
Wow, smoke right away on the new board? Are you using a AC Adapter and Power Cord that was specifically made for the ACER or are you using one of those one size fits all that some stores sell that comes with a bag or removable tips so that one will fit your laptop? That's exactly what one of the one size fits all will do.
No matter what, you're stuck with buying another motherboard.
2 possible solutions. 1 or more serpanteen belts are not engaging ( slipping will smoke like he'll! I burnt all 3 when I started my j30 '96 after almost 2 years! Had to charge the battery overnight..everyone really should have one! Times like that you are gladjya did! And my battery was replaced the day I stopped driving it!). Either that...clogged fuel filter. Seriously, it happened in all three j30's I have owned, and one Jaguar XJ6 with saddle back gas tanks. $55 usually to change...maybe a lil' more depending the garage hrly rates.
Your belt is probably slipping Is your snowblower a single stage or dual stage? If it is single stage, there are normally multiple holes that you can put the engagement cable into on the lever. If so, move the cable to a hole that is further away, so the lever pulls the cable further. If it's already in the furthest hole, it's time for a new belt. If you have a dual stage blower, the adjustment is usually made at the idler pulley, found under the belt cover.
Hi,
Check the brush and make sure that it seated correctly...between pulling on the new belt and getting the brush back into the slots sometimes it will bind up...
You also will now want to put a new belt in now... the belt is toast if it smoked...
No, the pump works while spinning. The burnt smell is probably the belt, especially if your wife saw smoke. Did she put a big load in it at the time?
The belt will slip until the tub catches up with the motor. If there is a heavy load, it can burn the belt up. I would replace it. Make sure the idler pulley on the motor moves freely also.
Yes, if you jammed something in the blades and the belt stopped, the engine pulley wore a thin spot in the belt.Every time that thin spot runs around a pulley it rides deeper in the pulley making it vibrate.Take the belt off and you should be able to see or feel the spot where the engine pulley burnt it. Replace the belt and it should fix it.
the smoke is coming from the belt because a part has stopped turning ...you need to check which one it is... it could be the water pump...alternator ..a/c compressor...... power steering pump or the belt tensioner.... and your going to need a new belt
