Whirlpool Top Load Washer Fills With Water and Stops, Won't Drain

My Whirlpool Top Load Washer Fills With Water, Stops and Doesn't Drain Even Though the Knob Continues to Turn. If I Turn the Knob to Drain, it Will Drain for MAYBE 10 Seconds and Then Stops Again. I Thought it Might be the Lid Starter Switch, so I Looked at it and one of the Connections Appers to be Discolored, Almost a Burnt Brown Color. Could this Be the problem? If not, what do you think it could be?

Washer will not fill up!

The water is siphoning out as it fills. Your drain hose is too low or has a air block. Remove the drain hose from the drain. Set the washer to fill. Hold the drain hose up higher than the washer. If it fills correctly and starts agitating, correct the drain hose problem.

Not spinning or draining, only fills and agitates

the mixing valve in the rear needs to be repaced-it controls the water flow Also sounds like the clutch of the transmision maybe be a factor if the machine doesn't spin

LTE6234 Whirlpool Twin Thin Timer Broken?

Check for voltage at the water inlet valve with the timer dial pushed in or in an off position. If no voltage replace the water valve. If you do have voltage you'll have to trace the circuits back from the water valve to the line. One point of demarcation is the water level switch. Pull the violet colored wire and see if it still fills while off. If it does it's likely the timer's bad.

Possible lid lock, check the lid is locked when it should be spinning or pump jammed and check the draim filter. Regards Advisor
