This faucet with soap dispenser is eight months old. I tried pumping hot water and it worked fine. Put it back in soap and it didn't work. How does it come apart and what do I need to do to fix it? ......Charlie
Replacement parts can be found on amazon. Click here Watkins Hand Soap Made Naturally Since 1868 and take a look. I hope this was helpful. Cheers
I just replaced the pump innards with new and it's working now. Just for fun, I took the old one apart. There's a little metal ball bearing at the bottom of the chamber in the pump. The ball and the bottom of the chamber had a little rust and gunk in them. Since I've only ever put soap and water in the pump, I suspect it's either the metal spring and ball bearing rusting or some manufacturing debris left in the bottom of the chamber. The new one works fine but so does the old one. Now I have a spare. It was a little tricky getting the old one apart - I couldn't get the top to release, I just pried it off. Seemed to go back together OK so it should be fine if I need it.
After replacing ours 3 times with free parts fro PF, the company has advised they have solved the issue. I installed the latest replacement parts (plastic shaft), and it works great....for now. Did not need to thin the soap either. Call or email PF for the newest replacement part.
In May of 2009, I wrote quite an opinionated letter to Price Pfister about what I thought of their soap dispenser and got a totally different pump. This one actually works. I wrote and asked them why they sent me the same junk 3 times, included the receipts for proof they sent the same junk, and they took care of the problem. I got a phone call from them and a replacement part for a 3 year old faucet. I've decided you have to go over the heads of customer service to get action. I am now a satisfied customer and wish I'd done this 2 years ago.
Order a new pump from price pfister #9310020or if is under the warranty call 1-800-pfaucet they will send u a new one, need to to know the model number ,the replacing soap dispencer pump mechanism is very simple. remove the dispenser metal head from the pump by pulling on it, install the new on by pushing firmly onto the pump mechanism if by any chance you brake the plastic tube of the pump in the metal head, you would need to remove that little plastic piece before you could install the new pump a nd in that case a screw stractor will do the job. Go to Sears and buy one that is call "easy out"
You need to reverse screw it then clamp it on a vise or use pliers and pull on it.
The soap pickup tube should have an angled end and a flat end.. if it fell out and you put the angled end, in the pump ,or if the pickup tube is not in all the way into the pump they hit the bottom of soap bottle and wont pick up soap.
I have the same faucet set and my soap dispenser wont pickup soap but it will pick up pure water. I purchased it from Lowes about 8 months ago. I talked to the Lowes proffesional and their answer was to dilute the soap with water. They also informed me that all soap dispensers are the same. I believe the problem is the spout outlet is to small for soap to pass through. This is a design flaw. I am still looking for a solution . to bad I drilled a whole in our new 500.00sink to install a lousy product. Thanks no go soap.

I have the same problem with a price pfister soap dispenser.
I have the same problem - I'd used the same brand of soap for several months and the dispenser worked find. We recently removed the bottle from under the sink and filled it. We reinsterted the dispenser and now it won't work. We do have the correct, angled end in the bottle. This is very frustrating.
I have the same problem and can not figure out how to fix it. It worked fine for about the first 6 months and then just stopped....
We have the exact same problem (will dispense water but not soap) only ours worked properly for 1.5 years before it stopped dispensing soap. What I don't understand is, if it's a design flaw then it never should have worked at all. How can it just all of a sudden stop dispensing soap when it had been for 1.5 years? I really hope someone can help with this solution because we love the faucet.
I am as frustrated as the others who are experiencing this problem!! I have tried everything I can think of to correct the "no soap" being dispensed...if anyone comes up with a solution please share with the rest of us. Thanks!
Add me to the list of frustrated consumers with the faulty Pfister soap dispensers...if anyone comes up with a solution, please share with the rest of us. I have tried everything I can think of to correct the "no soap" issue! Is there a way to contact Pfister and let them know of this problem? Seems as though the manufacturer would give the consumer help with this.
After 8 months the soap dispenser won't pump soap or water. Any suggestions?
With this many people complaining something is not right. My soap dispenser also after about 4 months suddenly stop pumping soap out. This is a piece of garbage and would never recomend it to anyone. Now, How do I fix it besides throwing it out? does anyone know if they sell replacement pumps?
Soap dispenser won't work.
Our soap dispensor won't work either and we installed it less than a year ago. What gives?
I bought 2 4 Price Pfister soaps in about 2007 and PF replaced them a little over a year ago. The replacements stopped working long ago.. Thinning the soap is merely a temporary solution. It will work when you first thin it and then prime the pump, but, the prime is lost after a few hours of sittting still.
The bottom line is that PF builds a shoddy pump and based on the dates it seems they haven't fixed the problem. You think these are made in China? Anyway, I just emailed PF askign them to replace my two pumps again.
YOU ALL SHOULD DO THE SAME. Go to PF's web site: http://www.pricepfister.com/index.aspx. Find your Model # and then celect CONTACT US at the top and send them an email.
I am going to email them again and give them this web site's address to let them know they have a PR issue.
I have the same problem. It will not dispense soap, but it will dispense water. I have already had Price Pfister warranty one and after a 15 minute hold for customer service... they are sending me a new pump and have generously offered to wave the shipping fee for me.
I seem to have the same problem... The soap dispenser does not hold its prime. Thanks for the help, hope I can get a new one as well.
I have the exact issue. I have to prime it about 20 times everytime I wash dishes. I can't believe quality control at Price Pfister didn't check this MAJOR flaw. I hope everyone is complaining to PF. For as much as these things cost, it's a complete rip off to have a faulty soap dispenser. It annoys me so bad to have a neat soap dispense that doesn't work. I'm annoyed! I knew I shouldn't have bought PF but I decided at the time to give them a chance. I will never buy another PF product again, their quality is horrendous!
These things are junk. I went to a home improvement store to look for a replacement. I told a sales associate that mine was a PF and had broken. He said that he had one as well and it had the SAME PROBLEM. I replaced it with the store's brand, which is actually *made better* (better pump and all metal upper parts).
