Compressor is not working

Same problem with mine. Just pulled the thing apart ...and they were nice enough to have a schematic right behind the water bucket. In my case I found the defrost switch was open. If you pull the back off it's located in the lower right corner clipped to the compressor pipe and covered with a black insulating putty. It has two large red wires coming out of it as well, quite obvious. I unclipped mine and tapped it a few times and it closed up - so now the compressor will come on ...but I'd like to get a known good one in there. Try gently tapping the compressor a few times -use a wooden stick or similar to avoid damage -sometimes that is all that's needed. There are however many other possible reasons for a compressor not to start - most have their own fuse/controller assembly (sometimes this is very obvious inside the case, often a car spade type fuse which is worth checking visually), and there are cut-outs that will stop the compressor if it is low on gas, although usually it will start first for a few seconds if this is the case.
