The letters ie appear on the display indicating no water. I have checked the inlet soleniod and it works ok. There is continuity in the wiring with a check done by the multimeter. There is no power to the inlet soleniod with the diswasher turned on. Does this mean the problem is in the computer panel. Do I replace it?
IE is a INLET ERROR. Possible causes ¥ The Water Tap not opened.
¥ The Inlet Hose is kinked.
¥ The Filter of inlet valve clogged by
impure water.
¥ The Inlet Water Valve is normal ?
¥ The water pressure is very low.
( below 0.3 kgf/ )
Possible solutions ¥ Open the Water Tap.
¥ Repair the Inlet Hose.
¥ a) Close the Water Tap.
b) Unscrew the Inlet Hose (Inlet
Valve side)
c) Clean the Filter of Inlet Valve.
¥ Replace or repair the Inlet Valve.
Dishwasher LD-12AW2 starts then stops after a couple of mintues with error code HE???? Please help
From reading around the net I have found there is support available to replace the PCB board that controls the dishwashers functions. Apparently they have failed so many there is a tech bulletin out for them and LG will replace them for free on this model in Australia.
I have just sent off my request so see how that goes.
On the salt container , there is a sensor (small black) this sensor checks the water level clean out the container by removing it from the bottom with cold running water replace sensor .this should solve your problem
Hi Guys, This is one of the many solutions for that E1 but if you say intermittend then this is probably your solution. The drain pipe is ending 2 low. It shoul have about 30cm clearance from the ground otherwise your water will drain out while it is filling. Do this test. Put your drain pipe at the same hight and catch the water in a bucket. You will notice that the water never stops draining especially if there is water left in the pipes from the previous wash. (Your machine is causing a fault by draining when it shouldn't. Think about the method you use to take Gasoline out of your cars tank with a pipe.) Good luck and happy dish washing.

My dishwasher shows IE after a short while of operating.. Its clear that no water comes in, and I checked the inlet solenoid? - When this should have power it doesn't, but the problem is intermittant - Any tips?>
the same thing keeps occurrung with my LG LD-12AW2. it starts n then within a minute or 2 its alarming with the IE code on the display. unfortunately the dishwasher was already my house when i bought it, an so i dont have a manual to consult
I have a similar problem. Solution #1 suggests a sensor on the salt container but even though I have the service manual, I can't find any salt container. The fault suggests a water level sensor as it pumps out first and then stops.I changed the pressure switch with no success. My fault started as an intermittent fault. I found opening and closing the door overcome it. I opened the machine and checked all connections and it appeared to fix it, however it has finally failed and these workarounds don't have any effect. Does anyone know where the salt container sensor is on an LD-12AW2?? Thanks, Rod.
