Bonjour,
Ice makers can clog. The water valve can stick open or closed or even not work at all. The water fill nozzle can clog with ice or food. If the unit has been moved the water line could be kinked or the water filter may be clogged. Maybe the water valve for the ice maker water line is turned off. Is there one under the sink? Inside most ice makers there is a thermostat that tells the ice maker that the water is frozen and it's time to dump the ice cubes. That starts a geared motor running to dump out the cubes. And in some cases a mold heater is turned on to help break the ice cubes loose. A lot of ice makers have a cam attached to the motor that turns with the shaft. When the ice cubes are gone the cam starts a timer to refill the ice maker with fresh water to make some more ice cubes. Most "fill" cycles of ice makers are "timed fill". The fill cycle has to start and stop to get fresh water into the ice maker. There may be another thermostat that monitors the air temperature where the ice maker is mounted. If that thermostat thinks the air is not cold enough to freeze water nothing happens. If all the steps don't happen at the right time no ice cubes are made.

If you model is the KSCS25INSS it has 2 sides to the water control valve. You can test the coils on each side of the water valve by unplugging each side and testing with an ohm meter. They should measure the same amount of resistance with the meter. If ice maker has no ice you can test it by filling it with tap water and seeing if it will cycle and dump the ice. It is either the thermostat in the ice maker or the dual water control valve on the back. Let me know if you would like my assistance, Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Ice Maker Overfills With Water

Ice maker has adjustment on right side of power head. If ice maker is inside on upper left, you can remove white cover from it and the adjusting screw in on right. Turning counter-clockwise will decrease fill by 1/2 to 3/4 of ounce. Sounds like a small amount, but ice make only uses 4 ounces per fill. If this does not fix, try replacing fill valve. If ice maker ice bin is in the freezer door, you have to remove cover to ice maker in the top of freezer. Ice maker is screwed into top of freezer and need to be removed to take off cover to adjuster screw. same procedure for reducing water flow time as above.

I have ice o matic ice maker its start but after 3 second its turn off.

Assu.ing that the unit has been installed properly and has been working up to know, my 'guess' is a loss of refrigerat. Assuming that the water inlet valve is energized allowing water to enter and trip the high water float. This allows the high gas valve to open, and guessing, a loss of refrigerat is detected and shuts off the operation.

These are very complex, commercial ice makers and need a qualified technician to do a proper troubleshoot of the unit.

Ice maker on refrigerator does not work at all

Notwithstanding the ABSENCE of MAKE+MODEL...
(REFRIGERATER or ICEMAKER)...

Nothing came through with your "question"... ERGO

Most, generally & typically should be in front of everything that looks or sounds like a FACT.

Every ICE MAKER (I've ever worked on)has an on/off control...
Find it... turn it off, on, off & on several times (cycle the switch
(like lower the FILL wire ... or operate the on/off switch)).

ICE-MAKER heads are a relatively simple device with motor driven electro-mechanical sequencers that time water fill (adjustable), cube "done-ness" ((firmness by adjustable temperature)... and then "operate the fill valve... fill the tray...
Rotate the tray and eject the cubes.. refill with water...

If you can see or feel ice in your TRAY your...
you have NO ISSUE with your WATER VALVE...

To test this... use an ordinary water bottle and Put some water in your ICE TRAY...

Check back in an hour ...if your cubes have been NOT deposited into your ice bin... your ice-maker is turned off, has a open fuse or is defective & needs repair.

If it has ejected your cubes but you have not been refilled your WATER VALVE is defective...
replace it.

Hope this helps.

Smeg FA561X ice maker not making any ice. Water dispenser is fine and rest of fridge/freezer fine, just no ice in the ice storage part

ice maker stopped making ice. For this problem you have check few things. First thing, is the water filling in the ice maker chamber and then ice maker not making ice? Or, the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber so it's not making ice. If the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber then it's clear that ice is not getting made due to no water in the chamber. For no water filling, the problem is either water supply valve turned off so water is not filling. Turn on the water supply and it will fill. But if the water supply is turned on then the other possibility is ice blockage in the water fill tube. There is a tube from which the water runs and enters the ice maker chamber. If this tube is blocked then water will not enter the chamber. The tube needs to be defrosted, by using hair dryer. This procedure melts the ice collected in the tube and water starts running again. But if water fill tube is completely clear and no ice blockage or any other blockage. Then other possibility is water valve at the back of ice maker unit. This water valve is for letting the water in the ice maker. The water valve open only for 7 seconds and in this time the water fills in the ice maker chamber and then water valve closes and the same procedure runs again in the next water filling cycle.------- In most of the cases the fault is water valve at the back of ice maker section, on some refrigerators the valve is at the lower section. ------------- The above possibilities which I gave you is water not filling in ice-maker chamber so it's not making ice. But now consider that water is filling in ice maker chamber but it's still not making ice. Then the problem is ice maker unit itself. This unit is controlled by main board. But in most cases if water is filling the ice maker but it's not making ice then its faulty ice maker unit. So see if the problem is water not entering the ice maker then the water fill tube is frosted by ice or the water valve at the back of ice maker is faulty. Replace the valve. ------------

The water is not coming any more into the ice maker unit, water is available at water dispenser. The filter has been replaced and system purged. The ice maker continues to cycle, but after it cycles...

It can be issue with water fill valve.
