My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Quietwash washer fills with water during the spin cycle. This happened a few years ago and I replaced the inlet valve. I tried doing this again and the washer worked for several loads before doing the same thing. Is there any other part I should try to replace or is this just a defective inlet valve. Any ideas?

if you hear the motor running while it is supposed to be agitating or spinning then it is most likely the direct drive coupling between the motor and transmission.

HI It sounds like the spin basket drive is going bad. If it was the lid switch, you would get no sound. Let me know if I can assist you further.

it might be jammed or there might be dirt or some sort of a clog. I would suggest you clean it out.

Hi, could be faulty timer, faulty water level switch, faulty start capacitor for motor, or faulty motor. always put clothes in machine before starting. you can empty machine by lowering drain hose to flow level.
