Have a Haier water cooler with the fridge compartment in the bottom. Compressor on the unit just started running continuously, instead of cycling on and off. now the chilling bowl that cools the water will eventually freeze solid, because it is being cooled too much.

Removed one of the two thermostats... the one that controls the temp in the lower refrigerated compartment. Now the water cooler functions correctly but the lower refrigerator is not cold enough to keep perishable food in it, but its better than it was.

Unit doesnt defrost freezes up heavy on the bottom

It’s also possible that your water collector tray (in the refrigerator compartment) may be plugged, or the water drainage tube that runs from it down the back of the exterior of the fridge may be clogged as well. It then is supposed to drain the water droplets onto the compressor to evaporate. If it isn’t functioning correctly it can cause defrost cycle problems. Check the tray in the fridge compartment to see if it’s overflowing and also try squishing the black rubber tube on the back exterior of the fridge to see if the water is properly draining down, and out the bottom as it should be. A bit of hydrogen peroxide down the tray and drainage tube assembly can help it clear out, too.

I have a Haier wine cooler BC112C. The compressor will not kick in (but I can hear the relay switch engaging) unless I plug and unplug the unit 4 or 5 times, then the compressor cools to the proper...

Hi!
That is probably the compressor relay
The relay is on the compressor and needs replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay

I just bought a wine cooler not sure where to start to fix it. Fans will not turn on

Hi there.........i take it this is a used / second hand wine cooler......if so you've probably discovered why its been discarded........problem could b due to a faulty compressor unit....the fans are usually wired through the compressor...and run in conjunction with it........if the compressor isnt running then the fans are out .........if the comressor is running then check that there is nothing impeeding the fans rotation.....check for broken or damaged wiring.....check for tampering by someone else....check continuity of wiring through fan coils.........check for faulty starter unit on compressor

Not keeping things cold

check to see if the compressor is running in a cycle. if the compressor is not cycling, you will need to replace the compressor and fan.

if the compressor is humming, it because of a faulty motor and relay(start device). replace the compressor unit in this case.

Haier Wine Fridge problem

Hello bano24
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

You have a faulty cold control (temperature control)
The cold control is a temperature actuated switch and should open when the set temperature has been achieved. If the control does not open and turn the compressor off, it will continue to run and all items in the fresh food section will begin to freeze.
Check the control for continuity.
And or need a hands on service tech to diagnose this fault

Beverage air cycling off/on

These units are not designed to run in temps much lower than 50 degrees. They have no winter controls and the freon pressures will take a nose dive when running in a cold ambient condition. The unit will not run well in a cold environment, compressor damage may result. :(

Haier ESA 3185 AC won't cool; makes escalating loud vibrating noise near front panel/ filter

Have someone check the run capacitor of this unit. If the run capacitor is bad over shorted it can cause the unit to run and short cycle on a current overdraw. This makes for an electrical imbalance in the compressor motor. Next step is the compressor is faulty.

Fridge not running well

Not sure of what type of fridge you are refering to.. However you can try a few obvious things. Try turning the thermostat to a lower number (warmer setting) to see if that makes a difference. If you have an ice build up starting to form on the fridge plate or only a partially cold plate then you could have either a loss of refrigerant or compressor fault. Is the compressor noisey in comparisson to its normal noise. Is there heat being produced all over the condenser (black finned section on back of cabinet or underneath cabinet)..If not possible gas leak. Hope this is of some help.
