When was it last started?? was it empty of gas for a long time?
was it parked for a long time.?? All of these seems to be A dirty bowl of the carb.. However if it's fuel injected check fuse to fuel pump and or the Coil for the spark plug fuse..
run the fault codes
check for cam/crank position sensors failure, immobilizer failure , pump operation
could be a failed ECM
have the battery load tested as it may be the original fault and jump starting may have caused a power surge and damaged the ECM
Well if the pump works then follow the pump fuel lines to the engine, you will find the fuel filter then replace it and will also see petrol if any in it ,if not pump isent working ,if dirty replace it and blow air back from carby to filter to clean out pipe
,turn on ign fuel should come to filter and then with new filter in turn on fuel and see if any comes to carby if ok it should start and run.
Have a goodday,
Make and Model, year of vehicle?
I'm assuming the vehicle won't run unless you pour gas into the intake. If the vehicle will start and run while manually feeding gas to the engine, you can rule out spark and timing issues. Usual suspects in fuel system are dead fuel pump (electrical or mechanical?) clogged delivery system ( fuel line, filter, injector or jet) or intake leak (bad gasket or seal, vacuum leak, stuck valve).
Carb are EFI problems basically your fuel system is not running properly. If you no engines start with that if not take it to your mech he should be able to fix it at a pretty good rate in no time
Take the gas filter off. Should be located near the front of the carbeurator, take off the air cleaner and look for it, it takes 2 wrenches to take it off, a little gas may spill out but not much and replace it, however there is a strong possibility that he gas pump is out if the filter is fine. Hope this helps
