I have a delta single handled pull-out kitchen faucet with a side to side spray button that changes the water stream from regular to spray. It's 5 years old and has worked well until now. Now I have a mixed spray when I want a regular stream of water. When I change to spray, I get only spray and no mixed results.
Is this a problem with the diverter valve, and if so, can I fix this myself? How?
Thanks for your help.
No a pull out sprayer problem is different.
First try this. Pull out the sprayer and remove from hose by turning nut that connects sprayer to hose. If you can get someone to help you it would be nice since the hose can go down into the faucet and might be trouble to retrieve. Look in the connection on the sprayer where the hose connects and look at the screen. If the screen is plugged or dirty clean and reinsert. If you can't clean it replace it. If this isn't working go to the next suggestion below.
In the spray head of the faucet there is a build up of deposits from use and or water hardness. Here is the link to the Delta site.
Delta Faucets
If you find you faucet model order a new spray head. Once these go bad they usually need replacing.

took off faucet head and took diverter out. Couldn't see any particular problem, but the exterior spray has some mineral build up. Called Delta from the link you included and they think the minerals have ruined the buttons. They will send a replacement.
Thanks for the help.
THE SPRAYER DOES NOT WORK.
Bought faucet in aug 2008, and spray handle just broke off yesterday
