Need to know about this generator. Coleman Powermate 6250 Gen power 305 5000 running watts Model PM0545008 Serial # E06601199B

I.m not for sure about your question. Your unit is a 6250 watt generator and probably its peak rating multiply 6250 by 0.80 and that will give you a safe full load environment around 5000 watts.

It will run 3-1500 watt hair dryers . Have you checked the Coleman website?

I cannot locate the owners manual for my Coleman PowerMate 6250 generator 10 hp? Any place I can find this online quickly thank you

Most PowerMate manuals are available here: http://www.powermate.com/productmanuals.php?cat_id=3 . However, describing it as the PowerMate 6250 10 HP generator is insufficient to find the correct manual. The Coleman PowerMate line has several models with 10 HP engines and a 6250 Starting Watt (5000 W running) capacity.

These include the Powermate PM0435005; the direct link for this manual is http://www.powermate.com/pdfs/2011/12/29/pm0435005.02.pdf .

Please add a comment with the actual model number of your generator if you need further assistance with finding the correct manual for your generator.

I hope this helps.

Powermate 6250 PM0545008 Voltage Output is at 129V, Is this safe for my house hold appliances? Is there a way to adjust the voltage?

It isn't really a good idea to use a portable on "modern home elctronics" the way the regulate the voltage is not a s tight as a digital AVR found on permanent home generators. While this voltage is not uncommon, I would not recommend it

We just bought a coleman powermate 5,000-6250 gen and it runs great but will not produce electricity. i hooked a 75 watt bulb up to each plug in and it would just barely come on the fade out. but would...

Your generator produces proper voltage and 60 cycles at 3600 rpm. Use meter to adjust voltage/engine rpm. If after adjusting rpm setting and gen. does not have proper power, remove cover to generator and examine brushes and commutator rings for wear and voltage regulator/rectifier for burned components swolen or leaking capacitor and replace parts as necessary. I have a Coleman Powermate 6250. Runs Great, No power to outlets!

Excite the genset.

with the gen engine running,
1) plug a 3/8 drill into an outlet,
(make sure the drill is set to the forward rotation)
2) hold the trigger in the run position
3) by hand, rotate the drill chuck with a quick flip of your wrist.
*** NOTE: BE PREPARED !!! this will excite the gen-set and the drill will start to run as normal.

This is really not something you can do. There is a fair bit of engineering that would have to be done and then there is wiring and mounting, etc.

I have a 3 year old Coleman Powermate 6250

Try this! To excite it. Shut off the generator! Unplug everything,Then use the 12 volt battery to excite it per manual. Make sure the engine is NOT running and the breaker switch is in the on position. Now with the battery 12V removed restart the generator! This should fix it if the problem is that it lost its magnetism.

Need to know about this generator will not power my home

Jo_jet, this should power most everything except A/C or heat. Most regular sized homes do not fun more than that constantly.
