Did you trying hitting an Ok button, green button, etc to confirm legal size paper, maybe it wants you to confirm paper size. Also legal is 8.5x14, did you select legal or enter the size as a custom page?
Obviosly your magazine (Place of taking paper) of the printer is set to legal. The lights is lighting, couse the printer is telling you: You want me to print on letter, but I don have any letter, so please confirm that you want me to print on legal. In order to avoid this set the printer to all types of paper available.
Yes, it can print on legal size paper.
Do the following:
Lower the paper tray, and if necessary, slide the paper-width guide to the
outermost position.
Fold out the paper-tray extender to catch paper as it exits the device.
Tip: For best results when loading legal-size paper, fold in the
paper-tray extender before loading the paper to avoid a paper
jam.
2 things 1st make sure the paper guides are set correctly on the trays for legal make sure it's exactly on legal or it put the tray into universal mode. (To clarfiy the guides in the back which allow you to put legal in the tray.) 2nd Go into menu and then to paper menu and adjust/ confirm the settings for tray 1 and 2. Based on your question tray 1 is letter and tray 2 is legal, so make sure both of the tray size and type are set correct.
I am not clear with the quarry you ask but what I understand that you can print larger the A4.so in all Konica Minolta printers which I have used we must specify the paper size before printing in the printer properties and confirm that the same paper size we have putt in the printer’s tray. if more then one trays and installed in the printer the printer can print all available paper size without specify them. But spouse if you send a legal size print to the printer and there in no legal size paper in the paper tray then it will show a error.
What I think it is paper size issues please check it and make sure the trays are fixed to the size which you putt in.
Absolutely. Just click on the "PROPERTIES" button found on the "PRINT"menu. Find the "PAPER SOURCE" option, open it and select "Manual Paper Tray" or "Manual MPT". As soon as you confirm your print job, you unit will display a message asking for paper on the manual tray, which is the horizontal slot just above the paper tray. Insert each legal paper manually until your print job is done.
Well I fixed mine to where it will do it. I had the multi- tray feeder where there was 2 paper trays (one legal & one letter) I removed one paper tray system and put the legal cassette in that one tray. Wala! it detected it as a legal tray now. I got the best of both worlds by removing that tray. Now all you have to do is specify if the paper is legal or not. Just change it on the printer tray and change it on the print properties of your document and away you go.
