When I hook up ps 2 to jvc tv picture is fine but no color

The tv 100% have a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors picture shadows or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

I would guess you are using an antenna or a cable service without a set-top box.

When the TV is using HDMI or component video it does not employ the decoding for the color as like when using an RF feed. Most people of today do not use RF directly in to their TV set using the built in tuner. They feed a desk-top box that feeds a decoded picture in to the set via the component RGB connectors, or they are using HDMI.

When viewing an RF signal from the antenna or cable using the TV's internal tuner, check the video settings. make sure the setting for Color is turned up to 50% of its range to start with. If there is no color, check to make sure the Settings are correct. Check to see if the TV has a black and white mode, and this mode is turned on.

Check to see if the TV receiver section is for your location type. If you have a set from another country that uses another broadcast system for color this can be an issue.

It is also possible the TV set's color decoder for RF reception is defective. This would require proper service. You would not be able to service this yourself.

You`re probably getting a on air channel which means that you have to check your cable connectors and splitter if you got any, switch with other sets if you can.

You might have the connections wrong. If there is component in on you tv(red,green,blue) then use the for the best picture. Other wise use the yellow composite video out to the yellow video in on your tv

If you are using the A/V cables (the red, white, and yellow ones), you might have a short in the video portion of the cable. Try unplugging and plugging in again or wiggling the wires around a bit. Otherwise, I would suggest finding another cable.

What video out put you connected between JVC player and TV ?
Look at back of your JVC player for Video out (yellow color) pin, hook RCA cable there and plug it to Input-1 or 2 in TV.
Now select AV 1 or 2 (what ever you hooked) in TV by remote and hopefully picture will in TV.
need further help, let me know model number of your TV.

Please fine tune those B/W channels to obtain color picture. If TV is more then 4 - 5 years old, it needs resoldering in tuning area or might need replacement of IF block.

the tv turns on fine, but after 5 - 30 min or so, "sometimes MORE " the picture all of a sudden go's black. Sound is ok it is 100% loose contact problem. 1 please check for any connector or print for loose. 2 in signal processor ic there might be loose. remember there is no component failure.

have JVC AV-32F702 TV. It's picture color is very red. unable to adjust colors through menu. Channel numbers are also in red now instead of normal green. any suggestion? please check red color cathode circuit 1 check red output from ic to red cathode ckt 2 check voltage on r output ckt& ic or tr. 3 check loose contact in red cathode ckt 4 check crt base for loose. 5 loose connector 6 chroma ic thanks

If you hold the VFP button while a movie is on, you will get a small box on the corner that shows your color. My default color also turned black and white. I just moved over to a user1 color setting (push the right arrow on your remote), and it allows to the change the colors. You might be able to put the colors to come out through here. Hope this helps.
