Hello,
I have a Kenmore Super Capacity front loading washer that has stopped mid cycle and will start. When I select the power button, it hums loudly and does nothing. It was working perfect untill lastnight with no problems ever. I do think I heard a sort of scratching sound prior to it calling it quits. It has some staning water in it that will not drain and simply will not do anything other then hum. I searched and found that this might need a new motor coupling. Does this sound correct?

SOURCE: Hello, I have a Kenmore
it might need a new water pipe the old one could of been damage. and some washers dont let the washing machine work if the water pipe is damaged or broke. you might just need some knew 15 mill to 30 mill pipes depending on how big your water pipe is. if u get a plumber he would cut about 5 cm of the old pipe off were it is damaged and solder on a part of the new pipe to see if it works, if not he would take off the whole pipe and put another in if that doesnt even work he would recommend a new washing machine. if you were to get a plumber i would get a local one and self employed because if you live close to them they wont charge very much and they can get you a reasonable discount off a new washer and get you usually a 3 to 5 year guarantee on it.
