fix the leak as the pump build pressure switches off , the leak looses pressure pump switches on and so on
fix the leak and the pump will build pressure and switch off until the tap is used
Hi Geralidine Sounds like your pump is "air bound"...meaning that the impeller housing of the pump is full of air, and it cannot pump water. Try bleeding the air out of the pump and put a positive pressure (garden hose pressure) and make sure that you shut the airbleed valve off after you start to pump. Please take time to rate me Bud
You can go ahead and disassemble your Davey pump. You can take the bearing off. On it, at the side, you will find the bearing number (could be 6001, 6002, 6201, etc.) etched. You can buy the replacement bearing from hardwares near you.
