Tractor will surge moving fwd or back in any gear range at any throttle position and any pedal positin. Fluid and filters and screens are all clean and no trouble codes flashing. Charge pump pressure ok but hydro pressure surges and drops back down as the tractor movement surges and never makes it up to the correct operating pressure. Took pump to specialist who found nothing wrong with the pump. The tach is unsteady sometimes but doesn't correspond with the surging of the hydro. Thanks for any help.
Jeff I am having the same problem. Have you found a fix for this yet? your post is right on but for some reason we are the only two withthis problem and my local jd dealers have never seen this. , Brent

Hi
That is a fuel problem caused by stale gas you will need to remove and clean the carb with carb cleaner.

From what I can find, that is a 'timeout' error indicating the expected signals from the hydrostatic transmission are not being received. That would suggest that some of the wiring is still not repaired. Could it be the nice doggie pulled out a connector partially and you didn't notice? Make sure all connectors are firmly seated.
Some have seen this error code occur for the simple reason that the battery voltage was borderline low -- those computers are sensitive. So before you take it to the dealer, put the battery on a charger overnight to see if that resolves it.
Hope this helps. If so, please rate my solutions, thanks and good luck!

This is fault code 1.Fault-forward pedal.Cause of fault-Voltage signal out of range.Result of fault-Output current zero machine does not drive.Required action-get signal in range,,,recalibrate sensor. If this code does not match up to your symptom let me know and I will look into it.

You likely knocked a wire out of the forward or reveres potentiometers, which are located under the right floor pan and are attached to the foot pedals. If they are in place then they may have bee hit and now need to be re-calibrated,if so call your J.D. dealer.

Check the governor linkages and springs. There could be too much slack therein, or a spring may have stretched or broken.

The s/n on the tractor is LV4310H132252. This is an E-hydro model. The torsional damper springs are wearing into the housing and the splines are about worn out but they have not spun out.
im not sure this is applicable to you guys problem , but i had a Jd come into shop with a simmiliar problem of speed surge/uneven speed it was a model with a foot pedal to mod speed and direction it seems i had to clean out Mud stuck into actuator piston for pedal ( pressure measured good going into valve , and jumped largly going out)
