A common problem is the valve that is located in the back.it is under the screen and screws out.The rubber deteriorates and when it tries to pump out the water it goes back into the washer.

The washing machine will not stop filling, overflowing on the floor.

Not knowing what brand of washer you have.......some fill by time, some by pressure. Sounds like a stuck timer, or bad float switch, or pressure switch.

The GE Profile Dishwasher does not drain completely. The bottom drain shows no obvious clog and the screens are clear. The overflow drain in the back of the washers the only reason the dishwasher does not...

Uncouple the drain hose connection under the sink and use a wet/dry vacuum to **** out the drain hose and the stub on the sink drain plumbing to clear any possible clogs. There may be a blocked check valve near the pump that might have to be cleaned or replaced. Check the hose itself for any kinks or collapsed section. There might be a damaged drain impeller on the pump. Hope this helps!

GE wbsr1060T washer overflows on 'Super' load size setting

HI, there is a pressure switch for the water level regulation that seems to be malfunctioning in your unit at this time. You will need to replace this switch asap. this will correct this issue.

Washing machine water will not shut off when filling the machine

If your unit keeps filling with the power off, it is the water fill solenoid(s). If the machine overflows it is the float switch. Check out partselect.com and put in your model number. It will show a picture of the part and the price.

If you need more help, post another comment.

Thanks,

Tim

Washer overflows water when filling

The water level switch is either bad or the tube connected to it is plugged. Tube goes from bottom of tube to switch. Take this off of switch and blow it out. Should solve problem, if not replace water level switch.

GE Washer WHDRR418E1WW overflows the tube. Yikes.

A washer that over flows in the fill cycle sounds like a faulty pressure switch. Part # WH12X10069 and 10 on this diagram. If it overfills the tub when the washer is off it's a faulty water valve. Best of luck Ryan

Ge wbsr washer overflows...

Could it be ...this happens only when it is overloaded or the load is out of balance. Please clarify.

If this is not the case .. the water level hose running from the outside tank to the water level switch is likely not making a good seal (otherwise the water level switch itself is bad). Sometimes with age the hose forms a crack in it near or at the end where it connects. This could happen at either end of the hose. Also if you have removed the control panel recently (for any reason) you may have (not knowingly) pulled the water level hose loose from the water level switch. Just slide the hose back onto the tube of the switch before putting the control panel back in place and all will be fine after the first filling of the tub (it may take one filling cycle to build the needed vacuum back up in the hose). Unless of course in the process you have broken the tube off the switch where the hose goes on. In this case replace the switch.
