Thanks! My repair bill was somthing like $798 for the U-joint and the display panel went too, plus Sears wanted their $75.00 to come out to the house. If I had known I had any recourse (which of course, Sears did NOT disclose), then I'd have just stuck the thing in the garage! :) I'll still look it up and try anyway - thanks so much! Karyn

You may want to change the water bill one of ice maker. It is under the kick That panel on

can you see any thing like a circuit in that pannel.check for the soldering joints in that pannel.

fuses do not blow from power surges or spikes
only from excessive current flow
for your own safety ,get in an accredited electrician to check the circuity of the house and then with that certificate in hand you can go back to sears and demand a refund of your money for a defective unit
their requirement is a ways of getting around a refund payment

Take off the 4 screws on the bottom panel of the washer,Then unscrew the cap on the inside you will find lint or other stuff that may be clogging your washer clean this out and replace the knob and washer should work okay this is how we fixed ours and saved a lot in repair bill that sears wanted.

There are several things which can manifest in a "F21" error, however you stated at the bottom the repair person indicated they remedied an "F20" error.

Before proceeding and generalizing on many things which can cause either of these faults, can you verify it is indeed an "F21" error message in the display ?

you have to replace the rod end, it is not repairable. Go to your local sears store, or sears parts direct.com

SOUNDS LIKE THE PROBLEM I HAD, BUT WAS JUST A SEIZED-UP BEARING. I WENT TO LOCAL ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR ($15.74) PARTS AND LABOR, THEY REPLACED THE BEARING, THERE ARE 2 BEARINGS ON IT, COST IS THE SAME FOR EACH. THE BEARING IS PRESSED ON, SO REPLACEABLE. HOPE THIS HELPED

the class action lawsuit comprised of people who still owned their units and needed repair. what whirlpool would do is send a repair technician out on their own, they would get a list of parts for the washer and replace them when the parts came in. i own a calypso and my u joint went out and whirlpool repaired it free of charge over a 400.00 due bill to them. was just good that it never came out of my pocket. however ive since learned how to fix my unit. bt i havent had any issues with mine since the u joint and pump were replaced. i replaced the pump myself and other tuff rquired a special tool. im not sure if they are giving compensation on the washer but its worth a call to whirlpool.

Try replacing the brushes this may solve the problem

Whining sound most likely is a bad flyback transformer. You are probally looking at a 350-450 bill depending on the repair shop. If your picture was "great" go for it. If the tv has a lot of wear let it go. Nothing the repair shop does to fix your problem will make your picture better than it was before it went out. Somthing to contemplate.
