How to reset the printer --appears to be no paper jam and appears to have toner but red light keeps flashing

Printer stopped working. Both grn and red lights come steady on, then both go off, then both flash fast and then the pattern repeats. I can find no paper jam and there appears to be toner (I can hear it moving in the cassette when I shake it) -is there a way to reset the printer?

There is toner and it is inserted properly. You are right in that the motor action is not kicking in. I am beginning to think the drum went (the printer (and drum) is 7 years old. I"m told this model was discontinued years ago.

The toner is not inserted properly and is not detected by the system .pls try to re insert the toner this time make sure that it is inserted properly and the motor winds it up then closer the cover and locks it.this will till the system that toner is loaded and is ready to print..

Had the same problem - in the end it was that the paper drawer wasn't closed properly.

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

So what is your printer condition? Better know what is going on your printer so can solve the problem.

SOURCE: My Kyocera Mono Laser Printer is stopping between each page

call a service technician to clean the paper feed rollers... they aren't picking up the paper... this triggers the error so you have to stand there and manually reset the error and it prints...

The online error light is red on my ML-1610 Mono Laser Printer any ideas how to fix this?

It probably has a jam somewhere. Open each flap, remove the toner cartridge and check the paper path is clear.

Red "Paper" light stays on; printer will not print.

Paper light flashing could mean several things on this machine.

There could be a paper jam in the machine. Open the front cover remove the drum and toner and look in the machine. You can also check in between the drum and toner by removing the toner from the drum. Open the back cover and look for a Jam as well.

Try putting a piece of paper in the manual feed tray which is right above the paper tray, sometimes on certain documents the margins are too big and asks to go into the manual feed slot.

Light keeps flashing red,amber, green

If you turn off the printer and turn it back on, do you get any noises, ie motor noises, or does it instantly go to all lights flashing?
If you get no noises this usually indicates a board fault and you should look for a new printer.

Printer problem

hi, Take out the toner and check for a paper jam.turn the printer upside down and check under the paper tray for a jam. When you reset the printer check to see if the printer picks up the paper, if it tries to pick up the paper then the red light flashes you should rough up the roller on the front above the paper tray, the rollers sometimes get smooth and won't pick paper up. You should also look inside where the toner cartridge goes and there are some little plastic flaps.Check that these are not stopping the paper going it. hope this helps
