When the lights are flashing, this does indicate that an electronic part has failed. This blender is no longer manufactured, so finding replacement parts for it may not come easily. Repair centers are available.

This error was probably not caused by replacing the coupler, but merely coincidence.

Probably open circuit motor. Locate and replace thermal fuse on motor windings or replace the motor. After you have proven the fault of course. Check with a meter.

Wont turn on,just blinking light

This will probably need either a new thermal fuse on the field windings or a new motor.

Blender won't work

This indicates an internal problem with the blender itself as pertaining to the motor. I would suggest contacting Kitchenaid Customer Service to see about having the blender repaired or possibly replaced.

Their toll-free phone number is 1-800-541-6390.

Blinking lights on KitchenAid blender

Alternating blinking lights on a Kitchenaid blender indicate a bad circuit board which is unable to run the motor properly. Unplug the blender, take the jar off, and turn the spindle by hand. Then plug it back in. If it does not work properly, try a different outlet (perhaps not in the kitchen). If nothing works, the blender needs to be repaired.
