Water does not flow

Recently got a handed down Jenn-Air JCD2389GE side-by-side. Got it home, hooked it up to a water source, replaced the busted water filter, and got a tiny sputter of water from the water dispenser, then nothing. The ice maker seems to be going through the cycle, but no ice. I can see an air bubble in the water line on the back going to the freezer, and it never moves. I tried defrosting the bladder behind the produce bin to no effect. What should I do next?

First you should take the water feed off, clear all water out of tube going to ice maker.remoe ice maker and check the wiring and all looks good.hook water up,turn water on just enough to see you have waterflow yo ice maker.might need a towel or two in the freezer.replace icemaker, make sure bar on ice maker is down, turn water on full, give it 12hrs to make ice. good water flow-no ice--replace ice maker.

I have water leaking from the bottom. I turned off the water in the back and the problem stopped. Where is the water most likely coming from and how can I repair it? Model #JCD2389GE

Hello
Suspect your main water inlet valves .Usually ,they are behind kick panel bottom front of machine.Look for two small solonoid valves with tubing attached and inspect for leaks.Unplug machine to make repair, there is 120 volts down there.

Hope this helps

I need to know how to hook up the ice makerfor a Jenn-air JCD2389DE

I'm pretty sure that the water hook up for most Ice makers are the same you have to find a water source that you can tap into. Most Home Improvement stores carry the kit which consists of a valve tap, connectors and vinyl tubing to be connected from the tap to the rear of the refrigerator.

IS THERE A RECALL ON JENN-AIR REFRIGERATOR, MODEL #JCD2389GE ?

MAYBE!  Our Jenn-Air side by side has a similar model number to yours and it was recalled on March 10.  Check on maytag's recall page to see if your fridge has been recalled by entering your model and serial number.

Js42sefxda jenn air freezer dripping water from the top vent

Check that the drain tube for the defrosted water is not plugged. Someone on here just the other day had the same exact problem, and that was the problem they had.

Ice and water hook up for Jenn-air JSD2789GEB

The water coupling is usually located at the bottom rear of the Fridge and will require an installation kit (easily obtained at your local Home Improvement Store) and tapping into an existing copper cold water pipe (the kit will/should includes the line tap).
