Cayenne wet carpets post huge service, which included new front brakes, replacement of AWS control module??? Never had issue until delivered post service. Please help!!!

Hi My cayenne recently went in to have AWS control module replaced due to airbag light. Also had new front brakes done, and panoramic roof top tightening. As well as usual service. I have never had an issue with wetness in past. I received it back damp rugs, thought they had just cleaned carpets since a lot was taken apart. Dried the carpet, then noticed wet again , mostly front passanger but also feel drips when driving, also in back carpets. This car has never spent an evening outside nor off roading. I 'm sure something must have gotten pinched or??? during this service. Please!! I could use any insight. Thanks so much

If this happens when you're running the AC, the case drain is plugged. It is a flat looking rubber drain hose that lets condensate overboard before it wets the carpet. If it happens any other time, I'd look for a leaking heater core.

SOURCE: floors in passenger and drivers front are wet 2004 cayenne

Your air conditioner water drain holes are blocked. Check the exit holes for water from the evaporator unit under the foot wells or dash unit. Through these holesor unblock these and the water will flow through to the outside

I have a 2008 Saturn outlook with 2w drive. I recently drove in wet weather a my Stabil Trak and traction control indicators

When the Stabilitrak and Traction Control indicators come on and stay illuminated in your 2008 Saturn Outlook, it typically indicates a problem with the vehicle's stability control system. This system helps maintain control and stability during adverse driving conditions, such as wet or slippery roads. There are several potential causes for these warning lights, and it's essential to address the issue promptly to ensure your vehicle's safety and performance. Here are some common reasons for the warning lights to stay on:
  1. Wheel Speed Sensor Issues: The Stabilitrak and Traction Control systems rely on information from wheel speed sensors to determine if a wheel is slipping or losing traction. If one of these sensors is malfunctioning or dirty, it can trigger the warning lights.
  2. Faulty ABS Module: The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) module is closely related to the stability control system. If there is a problem with the ABS module, it can affect the functionality of Stabilitrak and Traction Control.
  3. Damaged Wiring: Damage to the wiring that connects the wheel speed sensors to the control module can disrupt the communication and trigger the warning lights.
  4. Malfunctioning Control Module: The control module responsible for the stability control system can develop faults or errors over time.
  5. Brake System Issues: Problems with the vehicle's braking system, including worn brake pads, can sometimes lead to issues with the Stabilitrak system.
  6. Faulty Steering Angle Sensor: The steering angle sensor is part of the stability control system. A malfunction in this sensor can lead to warning lights.
  7. Low Fluid Levels: Low brake fluid levels can trigger the warning lights, as the stability control system may interpret it as a potential issue with the braking system.
To diagnose and address the problem, you should take your Saturn Outlook to a qualified mechanic or a dealership. They can perform a diagnostic scan using specialized equipment to pinpoint the exact issue that is causing the warning lights to stay on. Once the problem is identified, they can recommend the necessary repairs or replacements.
It's important not to ignore these warning lights, as the stability control system is designed to enhance vehicle safety and performance, particularly in adverse driving conditions. Addressing the issue promptly will help ensure the continued safe operation of your vehicle.

Toyota Camry 2010 rugs soaked wet passenger and driver sides both in front and rear including under the seats; only the bottom part of the floor is wet including under the seats. No water under the...

It could still be a leaking windshield and running under the carpet.
Or it could be a door gasket or one of the roof drains is plugged up.
You may need a body shop to check it out.

Wet carpets post service

would suggest that you take vehicle back to dealer, if it didn't have this issue to start with, they may have damaged heater hose/fittings without realizing it

My 2003 v70 brake lights left and right not working/tailgate work

Well, have you checked the fuse? Maybe stick another one (of the same size) in there anyway. If that's ok, then check the stop light switch. It'll be somewhere along the brake pedal linkage/ arm under the dash or under the hood around the linkage or master cylinder. Look around. You can short across the wires temporarily to see if they light up and then you'll know if that's it.

Liking flude out of heater core how to fix free instructions

actually, the only way to fix this delicate piece of machinery is to replace the whole heater core unit. its the safe and best way. here are some step by step instructions on how to remove the old one. i also included instructions for installation of the new core as well. a fix ya rating would be most appreciated.

Remove the Old Core Step1 Drain the cars engine coolant from the water pump (remove the surge tank cap and drain bolt). Disconnect the heater outlet and inlet hoses by removing the clamps. Step2 Disconnect the Body Control Module. With the battery disconnected, parking brake on and transmission in Neutral, detach the entire front console, pull back the carpet to the right of the left dashboard support bracket and remove all the BCM's connectors and retainers. Step3 Pull back the carpet below the left dashboard support bracket. Remove the gas pedal from the front of the dash, then remove the center floor outlet ducts. Disconnect the main center floor duct from the heater/air conditioner module. Step4 Remove the heater core cover, from the HVAC module, sliding it away from the module locating pins and rearwards until the drain tube clears the dash front. Remove the heater core from the cover. Install the New Core Step1 Install the new heater core and reconnect the core cover. Use a new drain tube seal on the drain tube. Spray the core seal and dashmat with soapy water to make installing easier. Step2 Reattach the center floor ducts and the gas pedal. Install the Body Control Module and the front console. Step3 Connect the outlet and inlet hoses to the heater, replace the surge tank cap, fill the cooling system and connect the negative battery cable. Step4 Operate the cars engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Watch over the climate control operation and check for any leaks.

Problem with my cruise control and ABS light on 03 Explorer

Anti-Lock Control —Vehicles Built After 03/2002 The 3-channel anti-lock brake system consists of the following components:
  • front wheel speed sensors
  • front wheel speed sensor rings
  • hydraulic control unit (HCU)
  • Anti-lock brake control module (ECU)
  • rear wheel speed sensor
  • rear wheel speed sensor rings
  • yellow anti-lock brake warning indicator
The 4-channel anti-lock brake system with traction control and stability assist system consists of the following components:
  • active brake booster with integral solenoid
  • brake booster release switch
  • front wheel speed sensors
  • front wheel speed sensor rings
  • hydraulic control unit (HCU)
  • stability assist module (ECU)
  • stability assist event indicator
  • lateral accelerometer
  • longitudinal accelerometer (4x4)
  • rear wheel speed sensors
  • rear wheel speed sensor rings
  • steering wheel position sensor
  • yaw rate sensor
  • yellow anti-lock brake warning indicator
  • brake pressure transducer
  • traction control switch
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I suspect the abs issue is causing the speed control not to work if it happened at the same time the cruise control stopped working. When the yellow ABS light comes on, it means the ABS is dactivated. You may have a faulty accelerometer which senses acceleration and yaw (side to side lean). I have not seen a bad one but you said it is sensitive to acceleration.
I would unplug it and see what happens. The connector should have a small tab to depress so you can pull the connector out.
Here is where it is:

Accelerometer Removal and Installation
  1. NOTE: The accelerometer is located under the center, rear passenger seat carpet. (I think you have to remove seat for access).
Cut the carpeting along the perforations.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  1. Remove the nuts and remove the accelerometer.

Have dealer hook up tester and pull fault codes if you can't find an easy solution.
Some background info
  • A malfunction in the anti-lock brake system will cause the anti-lock brake control module to shut off or inhibit the system. However, normal power-assisted braking remains.
  • Malfunctions are indicated by the yellow ABS warning indicator in the instrument cluster.
  • The anti-lock brake system is self-monitoring. When the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position, the anti-lock brake control module will carry out a preliminary self-check on the anti-lock electrical system indicated by a three-second illumination of the yellow ABS warning indicator in the instrument cluster.
  • During vehicle operation, including normal and anti-lock braking, the anti-lock brake control module monitors all electrical anti-lock functions and some hydraulic operations.
  • Each time the vehicle is driven, as soon as vehicle speed reaches approximately 20 km/h (12mph), the anti-lock brake control module turns on the pump motor for approximately one-half second. At this time, a mechanical noise may be heard. This is a normal function of the self-check by the anti-lock brake control module.
  • Pedal pulsation coupled with noise while braking on loose gravel, bumps, wet or snowy roads is normal and indicates correct functioning of the anti-lock brake system.
  • Warning Lamp Indicator
The anti-lock brake system (ABS) uses the yellow ABS warning indicator to alert the driver of a malfunctions in the ABS.
The yellow ABS warning indicator will come on to warn the driver that the ABS has been turned off due to a symptom that exists in the ABS. Normal power assist braking remains but wheels can lock during a panic stop while the yellow ABS warning indicator is illuminated.

    -----------------------------------------
Please report back, I am curious if that is what it is. Good luck
