Open Your system and there is a Battery which looks like a Coin. that is CMOS Battery (CR2032) Change that battery and then Reboot your system and try go to BIOS menu with DEL , F11 , F1 or F2. Either of these Buttons can Work.

Is the BIOS Password protected? Have you tried taking the battery out for a few minutes then re-installing and then go into the BIOS and change the Intrusion setting / reset BIOS

SOURCE: Error Boot "Chasis Intruded fatal Error System Halted"

Achdi,

Something has tripped the chasis intrusion on the motherboard.

This is a security device that disables the system should someone unauthorized open the case.

Unplug the power supply, open the case. Down near lower edge of the board there is a connector with several wires attached marked Panel a bit farther up from that there is one marked CHA_FAN between that is one marked CHASIS this is the connector we need to deal with. If there are wires attached to it trace them back to the module attached to the case. there should be a reset switch on this device be sure to reset it just before closing the case again. If you can not find a reset switch on it remove the wires from the connector and tuck them away (Note doing so will mean the intrusion detector will not function any longer) If there were no wires look carefully to see that nothing has shorted (connected the pins) accidentally. If so it might be advisable to blow out the case with a can of compressed air to prevent it from happening again.

OK now we need to clear the fault from the bios. There is a battery (Silver disc: watch style) on the board. Pull the battery. Now there is a 3 pin connector near the battery marked "ClearRTC" that has a jumper on pins 1&2 move it to 2&3 now wait for 15 to 20 seconds
restore the jumper to pins 1&2, replace the battery, close the case.If the intrusion detector is still functional reset it. Plug the cord back in and boot up the PC you should now be able to get into it.

You will have to go into BIOS to adjust settings again including set time and date.

If this method does not help then the error is likely internal on the motherboard, and will need to be repaired or replaced by an authorized service tech.

Hope this helps
Dave

The problem of my computer is when i open my computer its not boot to windows it shows chassis intruded fatal error-system halted! what can i do to solve that problem? my board is asus p5sd2-vm.

chasis intrusion is an option in the bios, when U start the pc, press dell to go into the bios, walk trhough the settings ( I think it will be in a section advanced or security) where U can switch off intrusion.

Did U open the case recently?

ASUS P5VD2-VM SE MOTHERBOARD

If you purchased this motherboard recently then i would double check your power supply - get a better power supply and try that - think you may need one with two 12 volt rails.

If that does not work then I would get it RMA'd as in return it and get a replacement.

Chassis Intruded, Fatal Error...System Halted

you need to go into the bios of your pc.....usually pressing the delete key when you see the first logo screen after booting up....look for a section that relates to errors and what the bios is supposed to do when it encounters an error.
i.e if you see a line in the bios that says "halt on all errors" disable it and when you next boot up the bios will not stall.

Asus k8s mx mother board problem

To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS.
Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE.
Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.

Error message

There is a micro-switch which detects when you remove the lid.
This can be disabled in the BIOS menu.
Switch on and press F2 or DEL key until you get to BIOS Menu (may ask for password).
Then find security menu and disable intruder alarm enable.
