SOURCE: water line broken for Kenmore refrigerator near compressor

Cut off a piece of line and go to a good hardware store, they can show you how to fix it. Need a coupling, and a nut and ferrel. House water line goes on one end of coupling, nut and ferrel on the broken water line on fridge. A good hardware store will be able to show you how to fix.

SOURCE: Water line to Kenmore refigerator is brown

Some tubes turn brown gradually with age. This is normal. But if yours is not made of that material (not sure what its called), then it could be that the pipe is dirty. If this be the case, it is definitely better to get the line replaced, as it is definitely a health concern. I would recommend getting a filter fitted to the line as well, just as a precaution..

SOURCE: kenmore refrigerator model 363.9711781 water appears daily

This water comes from a plugged up defrost drain tube. Do you see like a cup at the back of your refrigerator connecting using a plastic tube in a hole at the back of your refrigerator ? This cup collects dripping water from your freezer during a defrost cycle - you will notice a hole above it on the ceiling - what drips into this cup and drains out back the hole in your refrigerator wall and into a long drain tube extending down into the drip pan at the bottom of your refrigerator, usually sits ontop of the compressor or in newer systems next to the condenser fan and evaporates. If this drain tube is plugged up with debris water will backflow back into your fridge and drip against the wall and under your cripsers.

During a defrost cycle (when you hear the sizzling sounds and all motors are off, open the door and you should notice water dripping.

If you can manually remove the cup yourself you can pass a piece of pipe cleaner or long cable and dislodge whatever is blocking it or if you can't do that you will need to have it serviced, sometimes there is a seal around base of the plastic tube it's best you don't touch or break it. Makes ure the cup is firmly connected and inserted into the hole, you can try raising the fridge a bit, the front part so it is slightly inclined to back. If all fails, have it serviced, it is a very simply problem easy to repair and common too.

Hello! I have Kenmore 106.9552981 Refrigerator but I can not see where the water filter location is? ?Please help to check is this machine have water filter or not? ?Thank you. ?SonLe

The Kenmore 106.9552981 does not have a water filter for the ice maker. Sears Parts Direct has the parts diagram here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/6bcxngyrj2-000582/kenmore-1069552981-refrigerator-parts . The models with a water filter will have the filter in the refrigerator compartment, on the back of the refrigerator or near the middle of the toe kick grill. So I checked the cabinet and refrigerator liner diagrams first. I also used the part search feature on the above page.

I hope this helps.

My water will no longer dispense on my kenmore side by side refrigerator

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer. . GE makes a heater that will prevent this from happening again. The part number for this heater is WR49X10173.

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad

My Kenmore refrigerators (model #79177990) ice

Ice inlet tube may be frozen up inside of Fridge. Thaw it out with a hair blower. Shut of water supply and disconnect the water line that goes into the back. Use a flexable item at the connection to see if will go all the way through to the icemaker. I used a zip tie.

If you still don't have water going to the icemaker, you may need to replace the "Water Inlet Valve" at bottom back right of your Fridge. Easy to Do.
