Here's what the problem is.

It's been designed to fail so that you buy an expensive part.
I just mine completely apart and was lucky for the particular part not to be broken yet. Turns out it was the bearings that blew up. Water was past the seal and very little grease was left. It's off balance because of the inner bearing. Also, if you continue to use it while scraping the sides, there are 3 screws that will eventually scrape a hole in the plastic tub.

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete
and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in
excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the
shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or
damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.

I have the same problem...the solution is called new washer. I was told it could be overhauled to the tune about $600...barrings are going out. Mine is just 7 years old and that's disappointing.

If you spin the drum by hand, does it make any kind of thumping or banging noise? If it does, then you probally have a broken spider arm(s). This is very expensive to repair, unless you are handy, it may not be worth fixing. The link below shows the problem and how it can be fixed.

Usually answered in minutes!
when the washing machine spins, there is a lod banging sound
banging and almost like it's unbalanced during the spin cycle. terrible noise!
It began yesterday. It is a horrible banging noise. At first I thought the washing machine was bouncing around but upon inspection realized that it was coming from the machine itself.
I have a similar problem. It seems as if the inner portion of the tub is hitting the outter plastic housing. It does seem off balance when spinning when looking at it from the top. I'll check out the springs to see if any have come off.
