when i plug in my mbox 2 a message pops up saying audio device is drwaing to much power.. what the hell does that mean

Your Windows System Sounds and sounds from other programs are output from the computers preinstalled soundcard. When you use a professional sound card i.e Mbox (ASIO) you can search google for an ASIO player or plugins for Real Player (or WinAmp or Windows Media Player etc) that allow you to use as the output device.

M-Box 2 Pro- 2 small black screws under rubber "feet" on the bottom(back)- 1 shiny screw under "CE" sticker on bottom- 10-12 small black screws under the faceplate sticker= DUMB- then one more small army of small black screws to get the faceplate off the metal casing-(remove carefully as there is a small ribbon connector from the faceplate to the chassis-pull up on small black sides where it connects to the faceplate.)- pop off top- reveals about a dozen small shiny screws holding the two "mother boards" together-left off there because I only needed to get to the volume resistor. good luck with the rest. good design too Digidesign.

my Mbox isnt being found by my mac. when i try and install protools it tells me the mbox carnt be found. i have tried different usb cables ect but nothing seems to work.

Sorry I meant LIon - instead of tiger ... cannot correct it now
I have not managed to find a stand alone driver that can run mbox2 without protools. Can anyone help me on that one? I would be most greatful. I tried the the most up to date core audio drivers at avid homepage. But they made my aplications like garageband and ableton crash. And I had to reinstall OS 10.7 on my macbook pro to make them rune again.
