The problem is getting into them. With small ware like this, often a good slap on the side will get them going again. It jogs the motor carbon brushes back into full contact.

Try claiming on their warranty.

Try locking it in reverse, turn it the other way.

if their is a light on the switch the cause it could be stuck up motor.

This is not really the solution it is just a better description of the problem that I am also having. This is a great blender however the part where the cup blades conect to the motor is made of plastic.
So what has happened here is that the motor is fine, the cup is fine only the plastic part that makes the motor turn the blades has worn down therefore rendering the blender useless. I would like to know where I could get this small part to change on my blender!!!

I had the same problem. There's a little button on top of the base that is supposed to get pushed in by a male-type piece on the bottom of the pitcher. I broke a match stick and duck taped it so that it pushed in the button on the base - Voila! it works!
