I have cleaned the filter and also the drain pipe. It seems that the only time I can get the machine to partially work is when I tilt it back slightly, otherwise it won't even fill up with water! Even so the wash cycle won't complete because the error message "Drain fault" appears sometimes on the final rinse sometimes on the first rinse. I then have to turn the machine off and back on to clear the message. When the fault first happened I would be able to set the spin cycle which it would complete. The machine won't do this now! I have a feeling there is something wrong with the pump. Please help!!
I had a drain fault that did not clear after cleaning the filter and drain system pipes. The problem was the sensing of the water level in the drum. A white moulding / chamber fits to the bottom of the drum and a tube least from this to the control board. Taking the chamber off I found it was blocked up which resulted in the controller not detecting that the drum had been drained. Care needed removing the moulding / chamber. It has one push fit fixing to the top right and the larger tube end is a push fit to the bottom of the drum through a rubber seal. now this is cleaned the machine works fine.
I have the same problem, i have cleaned the filter area and there was a plastic sweet wrapper in there also. However, I have put the machine back on an express cycle ans still have the error message coming up?? Drain Fault! I then tried to spin and the spin cycle wasn't working eithet. Whilst the machine was still on i patially undone the filter cap and removed a full tray of water, it then began to spin. What could yhe problem be?

The pump is at the lower left of the front of the machine covered by a white plate. Use a bowl to catch any remaining water when opening the screw thread inside and then clean and replace. If it is truely beyond repair then a new filter pump can be bought from ebay for £3 or thereabouts.
I have just drained mine manually in this way and am going to run it empty with soda crystals to glean a few more days use whilst the new pump arrives.
Good luck :)

The most common cause of machines stopping mid cycle is not draining. Your machine should have a filter behind the kick plate at the bottom.
If this is not the case please post back for further assistance.

Just had the same problem, after Much patience and persistence I found the blockage at the y piece that joins the pump to the outlet hose air trap towards the top of the machine LHS with the top and cover off.
It was clogged solid therefore no back pressure on the top little ball valve (between the air trap and the outlet) therefore no seal therefore norain therefore a drain-fault that persists regardless of a cleaned pump filter.
