How do I open hood of john deere gator 620I 2008

I would replace the high/low switch and the reverse switch. One time a replaced the high/low switch and the reverse switch quit on me 2 weeks later.
You can also get the Peg Perego Gator Shifter that upgrades the vehicle.

the peg perego gators have two switches in the shifter that need replaced.
I have replaced them before on my grandkid's gator.

behind the "brush guard", pry each side of the panel attached to the brush guard and it will fold down, there you will see the battery. Next slide metal brace bar to the right and it will come out near the driver side wheel well, disconnect battery, and charge(if you want you can take it out then and charge battery inside or even bring it in to store on colder seasons to keep a longer battery life).
