The tv it have power supply board issues,that the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tv is new.Take it back where u bought it exchange it for another one.

Write down your serial # (found on the back or on the side) and your model # and call 800-Samsung. The issue has to do with the capacitors and if your TV was manufactured between Dec 2007 and May 2008 they will send a repairman out to repair for free (one time only). I just called and they are sending someone out to repair mine. Apparently there are tons of people experience the same problem.

You will have to replace the entire panel and that price sounds reasonable. I have seen this MANY times since I am an authorized Samsung technician. Most folks will buy another tv rather than spend that much on an old one. Sorry, but that's what you are looking at.

Mines had 2 1000uf and 2000uf i only replaced the 2 1000 ones since they were the only ones blown

I'm sorry to say. I think you got scammed. That's why no matter what. Things like that need to be tested before their bought.

If it is only 6 months old you probably still have a warranty. This is definitely a hardware issue, and unless you are comfortable taking your new TV apart, I would contact Samsung for repair.
