Put film on pause, exit, watch another film for 20 minutes. Return, watch film until message comes up again, pause, exit go back to other film for another 20 minutes. Etc. Eventually you will see the whole film after 4-5 shifts. Otherwise, shun Sony.

When the movie is muted by Cinavia, you can pause the video and record the time of the pause, then switch to another video for 10 minutes before switching back to the original movie, continue watching from the recorded time.

I have been told to change the PS3's Time and date to 2013 onwards, but had no luck. I use my PS3 as a DVD player as well as playing games, but since updating my firmware to play online, Cinavia has restricted my playback.
