1. I have a machine that has decided to not work and throw out a fault code of F18. The machine recently got wet during a storm and on inspection I found the plastic tray at the bottom of the machine full with water. The water submerged the lower two plugs on the circuit board in water. I removed the circuit board and cleaned all pins and allowed the circuit board to dry.
Note; there was no evidnce of burning or shorting on close inspection.
2. On refittment the machine runs up as normal and when selecting various wash settings cycles normally. The water is entering the machine and being cycled by the scavenge pump. After this initial cycle the macine then continues to operate the scavenge pump while displaying fault code F18. The machine can only be turned off at the power point.
3. Any attempt to turn the machine off through the normal display switches sees a continuous F18 code flash and no response from the machine.
After the machine is turned off it operates as discussed in paragraph 2.
