Check the horizontal output section circuit. It sounds that the LOT {Line Output Transformer} has damaged.

SOURCE: High pitch noise from LG Flatron TV

Hi there!
You may want to start by checking for suspicious looking components or hot spots. There may be some Caps faulty in the power supply or Horizontal. Good Luck, Jus004

SOURCE: Samsung SlimFit 30" high pitch whining noise

I have had the same high pitch tone problem for several months after about 20 minutes of use. It is so bad it's rendered the TV almost unwatchable. I contacted a repair place from Samsung's website. I was told that is likely the flyback transformer. I don't know what it is, but it sounds cool like a flux capacitator. I was told it would be about $100 to fix. However, I have had very little luck getting the repair shop to order the part and do the work.

SOURCE: when my rca 36F530 tv is plugged in it makes a high pitched buzzing noise picture does not come on

There is a short circuit in the high voltage circuit. the transformer who helps to create the high voltage or his power transistor is damage. replacement needed. the repair is not expensive, because the parts are average repair. Ask for an estimate.

I don't think they can be, but, also take a look at the fan bearing assembly too. You should be able to isolate if the noise is from the motor bearings or blower bearings.

High pitched squeal

Hi...

Does the squeal come from the TV cabinet or the speaker?
If from the cabinet , it's most likely the Horizontal high-voltage section of the set.
Find someone that's good with hand tools, unplug the set from the wall outlet, let it sit for a good 30 minutes.
have someone open up the back of the set and dust out and vacuum out any dust from inside the set.
Put back together and try it out.

RCA Model f27650 High pitch squeal

the high pitch squeal indicates shorted component/s. the transformer goes hot co'z its being overloaded by the shorted component, it too could be the one creating the squeal!!

if you have experience with electronic troubleshooting, try to test some of the components particularly on the secondary part of the transformer.
Be careful and make sure the TV set is unplugged.
test for shorted diodes and transistors, if you're in doubt of your readings try to desoldering one leg of the diode then proceed with the testing/measuring. replace any of the bad components you find exactly with same part number or replacements with the same rating.

spend more time on it resoldering some other cold soldered components.

High pitched squeal

What an RCA I hope you didn't pay mutch for this, NO it's not the part of the board were the cable goes in, the so call squeal is the horizontal oscilation of the coil you hear, narmaly it is at the rate of 15747 hz, to find your problem you most open the back cover, and while the ptv is on try to hear by insolating the noise were it is comming from with a credit car or something that will hide the section you trying to find, it will be a transformer or a coil, close to the power supply or the horizontal defflection section. To fix your problem well that's all a different game, you must contact me via e mail at [email protected]

I hope this help.
Meanwhile keep on smilling, life to short

My set has deveolped an intermittent high pitch squeal.

It always nice when the high-voltage circuit gives you fair warning of impending doom. Have the high-voltage (flyback) transformer replaced now before it fails catastrophically and wipes out other stuff with it. There are other things that could make noise too, same advice applies to them.
Hope ya fix it!

Sanyo DS31520 went dead

If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Squealing noise is from the power supply teling you that there is an overload condiction. The overload is shifting the operational frequency of the power supply into upper audio hearing range. Check the diodes and caps in the supply circuit and the active components in the deflection circuit. also resolder the LOPT, h-output, h-driver, and h-driver transformer. Good luck
