Whirlpool Washer will not progress to the rince cycle.

My Whirlpool washer will not move to the rinse cycle. It goes through the wash cycle and stops. It will not let out the water to refill with rinse water. I can turn the knob to the rinse cycle and it will do the agitation, but then stops again and will not spin out the water. Any suggestions?

That is either a problem with the timer , or with the cold water hose at the back of the machine, see the following:

I quote from : The cycle doesn't advance

The cycle doesn't advanceWhen the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It'sthe timer, if your washing machine fills with water and beginsagitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spincycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • Itmay be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills withwater, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinsewater. See There's no cold water.

Hi...my washer goes through cycles and then stops at "light" . It won't go through rinse and spin. Help

Make sure your cold water tape is turned on and the screen in the water valve is not plugged up, it may be trying to fill with cold water and cant get any, try filling the washer with cold water on a "wash" cycle to confirm it it fills with "cold" then just the rince cycle ion the timer may be faulty and would need to be replaced

Maytag ensignia makes a great deal of noise during rinse cycle

"If you dont have a noisy spin cycle and the noise you hear is only on the rince cycle, dont be worried, as this is totally normal. Water sprays onto the drum while the spin cycle is in progress and rewets the clothes to allow any existing soap to be desolved. This noise is in effect the water hitting the drum during the rince part of the cycle.

When washer done rinse cycle lights flash and washer stops doesn't rinse and spin

    Hello
Try reseting the machine.Unplug power for 60 seconds.
Plug back in,then turn knob to reset. Then try another load of wash or finish the one that is stuck before rince cycle.

It is possible the control timer is going bad.

The cold water keeps running in the rinse cycle. it nrver fills up it drains out as it flows in

you kind of lost me with that one, but the washer should spray in cold water when in the rince cycle , spining , draining, and spray of cold water. Thats a normal rince.

LG washer won't move from the rinse cycle. Spins during the wash, but not in the rinse

If you have correctly selected rince and it doesnt rince, that part of the program is corrupt. Strangely enough, in S.Africa 90% of the washers with rince problems are the lg. Seen quite a few top loaders with this problem as well. There is no reason at all that once rince is selected it shouldnt work, except if faulty.. Only solution is to replace board if rincing to you is essential.

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
