We are Running Wavelink/Telnet-CE emulating VT100 and We can only read Code 39 barcodes. Where can we find info on how to add Code I25 and 128, UPCA, etc to the list? A regular hand-held scanner reads the I-2-of-5, but not the MC9090-G!!! How can I activate this standard?

For anyone else who has this issue. Goto www.wavelink.com website.
In the downloads section...
Select your scanner make/model, use + on Wavelink TE, + on windows version IE CE5.0 etc and d/l the Wavelink TE ActiveSync software. There is also a helpful manual in the + Documentation - wltn_s90_ce41_8b_4in1_us_n.pdf.
Your need to reg with wavelink.com (free), to d/l the software.
I edited the MC9090 file from the scanner instead of creating a new one(Apps/TE called termcfg.bin), as i only needed the I 2of5 barcode enabled.
MS ActiveSync - drag file off to PC - Apps/TE called termcfg.bin. Back this file up before making changes.
TE ActiveSync - Open file, add extra options/barcodes, save
MS ActiveSync - drag file back to Apps/TE on scanner, reboot etc. (I also put this in the Apps/TE/Config folder as well, as the same file is located there as well)

if you don't have the device application software download it from your cd driver that come with your device and locate the setting of the scanner in the configuration area you will find where you can initialization
Hi, Firstly you need to know exactly what 'symbology' or type of barcode you are trying to scan. E.G. 128CODE, ect. Once you know this make sure 'DataWedge' is installed and go to the settings section of the software.ensure that the type of barcode you are printing is selected in the settings. After this is should work.
Sure, we can upgrade any and all MC9090 products from standard memory of 64/128MB to 128/128MB. Please contact us via email or phone. [email protected] main 847-847-7835 cell 847-815-2230
Most scanners will convert UPCA to EAN13 as you scan if you have that setting checked. A 0 will be added in front of the UPCA to make it an EAN13. Nothing else changes. You can read about this stuff on Wikipedia.
The default setting for this scanner is EAN13 enabled. This means that all 12 character barcodes will be changed to 13 characters by adding a zero in front.
How to Disable:
Open the manual that came with the scanner (it's available to download on the Cipherlab web page if you don't have it).
Find the UPCA Parameters barcodes (currently page 29). The next heading down is Convert to EAN13. You will see the disable and enable barcodes.
1) Scan Enter Setup Barcode (on practically every page of the manual at the bottom). The scanner will beep 6 times.
2) Scan the Convert to EAN13 Disable barcode. The scanner will beep once.
3) Scan the Update barcode at the bottom of the same page.
Your scanner should now read both 12 and 13 character barcodes correctly.
these scanners are user configurable, to prevent scanning of an inappropriate barcode, only the required barcode schema are enabled, if you look in your code book you will find that there is a page with listings and examples of the various different barcode schemes, in the section before that there should be a list of barcodes that allow you to program the device to use whichever barcode scheme you wish (as long as it is compatible with the scanner)
so you can enable the scanner to read 128, code 39 or EAN and also you can configure prefixes / suffixes depending on your software's requirements
