this must be a seriously clogged up carb or fuel supply , id use a gentle blast of compressed air to b sure the fuel supply line is clear and its pumping gas up to carb then a thorough carb cleaning is in order as well
carburetor is more than likely gummed up. you will have to remove carb and clean out jets. one way to check is to get starting fluid and spray into carb while someone cranks it and see if it runs. if it runs then the carb is dirty. and if it does not then check spark.
Hi Andy, the carby will need to be removed and all jets cleaned out with compressed air. Basically its not getting enough fuel through the carby to keep running. Regards Phil.
hello sir, mower will not start or run, runs only when primming, does it have good spark, good compression,or only runs on full choke, are you getting fuel to the engine if not try this, your fuel pump or your carb. is clogged up here is what you can do for a simple repair for the carb, you can remove the air filter and assy, empty fuel tank and clean out tank and line, remove the bowl nut and bowl careful of the gaskets, now spray carb cleaner in the small port holes in the carb steam in the middle of the carb until clean, now spray the bowl nut holes until clean there are three, after cleaning put bowl on the same way you removed it with dip towards front of float, put bow, and fresh gas,you should be good to go,hope this helps.,thank you.~~
under neath the carby is a single brass bolt, undo it
that one bolt is a multi jet, find four holes use a fine pin and carby cleaner ,hint one is at the top were the thread starts , one is in the inside center and two in the sides
put it back in and prim and start, hope it helps
your engine is only running on the fuel you are pumping in, the carb. is not lifting the fuel on its own, maybe because of water in the bowl or dirty jets. You must take the bowl of and clean it out and depending on the type of carb. it might need a new diaphragm. Stephen.
check spark, and next thing to do is the carb and the valve after the carb. You may need to clean the carb etc..here.Has it got any compression? If not then you may need an engine rebuilt.
