Everything else seems to work ok, but the clothes are sopping wet at the end of the cycle.
My Maytag Neptune MAH5500B or MAH5500BWW wouldn't spin either. It would go all the way through the wash cycle, agitation and all, as mentioned before, the spin cycle would start at the 9 minute mark, and get down to the 7 minutes then drop directly to 0 with no spin at all.
After hours of investigation it turned out the balance load switch was corroded. This switch is accessible through the front panel of the washer. The door must be removed and the front panel comes off, this switch is directly under the wash drum where there is a little electrical plug and switch which rests on top of stabilizer styrofoam. The connection was being made but there was green corrosion, and evidently the switch box was corroded within. When bypassed, the washer spun perfectly.
Hope this helps someone else out there - I was horrified to think that this washer would end up more landfill as it wouldn't be worthwhile to pay hundreds for a new motor control board as had been suggested was the problem.
Or better yet... that board can be fixed for as low as $35.00... See www.neptunehelp.com for information on the Q6 R11 repair kit which includes a new 12002535 wax motor.
You have to replace the faulty wax motor or the control board will fail again.
There is a song and video that explains the faulty door latch wax motor on the MAH3000, MAH4000, MAh5500A and the 2000 stackers. That song is at www.neptunesong.com.
Also note: the earlier MAH3000's have (2) more of those darling wax motors in the soap dispenser that should be repalced as well. These control the bleach and softener flows...
Does the door lock light still come on, ???place in a spin cycle to check, if need be( it will take a min or so to light), if hte light never comes on i would remove three phillips screws from across teh top of machine console, there will be a circuit board mounted to the back wall, slightly left of center of the board youll find a light blue box, tiny maybe 1/2inch rectangle. interested in the resistor directly above that box, is theres abig burn mark around it??? if so there is your problem , youll need to replace the machine control board and also the wax motor in hte latch assembly( do not change one with out the other
anotherissue maybe a motor control board, issue, not allowing unit to achieve a full speed spin, unfortunalty this is not such an easy diag, i would advise to call for service on this one, a nd a maytag authorized service as well, for the motor, depending on model and date of purchase may still be covered under some part warr( some where guarntted for 10 yrs)

Too much laundry in your machine. Try a smaller load and see if you have the same problem

Is your door lock light on when machine is in use? I am having the same issue as you and I believe it is because my door is not locking during use.

The lock light still comes on.
I have a maytag neptune front load washer. The clothes were still wet after spinning so I selected just the spin cycle. The minute timer shows 9 minutes and then at the 7 minute mark the spin cycle stops.
